American Song Contest Crowns Winner In Live Finale Event: Which State Won?
After eight weeks of national unrest, the people of this great country can finally rest easy tonight — the American Song Contest is over.
Ten acts remained atop Monday's two-hour finale event — Alabama's Ni/Co, American Samoa's Tenelle, Colorado's Riker Lynch, Connecticut's Michael Bolton, Kentucky's Jordan Smith, North Dakota's Chloe Fredericks, Oklahoma's AleXa, Tennessee's Tyler Braden, Texas' Grant Knoche and Washington's Allen Stone — but by the end of the night, only one would be left standing.
And the top 10 weren't just performing for fun on Monday. Voting remained open through the end of the finale, making it anyone's game until the last possible moment. Viewers' votes were then combined with those from the various juries across the country, which were announced shortly before the final results.
Read on to see how the final 10 acts fared, including which state took home the honor of being American Song Contest's first-ever winner. Once you've soaked in the results, drop a comment with your thoughts. Did the right act win? And how do you feel about the show overall?
