RHOP Premiere: Robyn Dixon Says 'My Relationship Makes Sense To Me' After On-Screen Intervention — Watch Video
We are so glad Juan Dixon is not here right now.
The Real Housewives of Potomac Season 8 kicked off on Sunday and featured an intervention for Robyn Dixon. Fellow castmates Gizelle Bryant, Charrisse Jackson and Ashley Darby sat down with their friend to investigate some of the intricacies of her marriage — mainly, is Juan cheating on her and she just doesn't care? Or, is Juan cheating on her and she just believes his cover-ups?
TVLine caught up with Robyn and Gizelle at BravoCon this weekend to unpack the episode, talk missing tequila bottles and tease what's coming up for the rest of the season.
Gizelle revealed why the intervention had to happen. "Sometimes you can be in a relationship and you can lose sight of yourself, and that's what I was feeling was going on," she said. "So we just wanted to express to her, 'Hey, do not lose sight of you.' And it was love."
Yes, it was love, but it was also gossip. Last season, Juan was seen paying for a woman's hotel room. And in the premiere, the Housewives reiterated that they still don't buy his original story for that hotel scandal: He paid for the room because he's a nice, charitable man and she simply needed help that day. (We aren't buying it, either!) Now he's been caught in nail salons and laundromats with women who aren't his wife? The suspicion only grows!
While Robyn understands scrutiny around her personal life comes with the territory of being a TV personality, she admitted that she still thinks it's "weird."
"It's kind of strange to me because this is my life and so, clearly I understand my life," Robyn explained. "Juan and I have been together since we were 17 years old. We're best friends Our families are extremely tight and intertwined. Of course my relationship makes sense to me."
She added that she can understand why people might "feel like there's something missing" since the real depth of a relationship can't be fully portrayed on TV.
Regardless, Robyn thinks "it's just weird" for people to so "confused or fixated on my life."
But this season, it's not just fans who are fixated on Robyn. At BravoCon, she was able to preview just a little bit of what is to come and it is grande — yes, we're talking about drama with Karen Huger!
"I think when you watch the season," Robyn teased, "you'll see that Karen is quite obsessed with me."
We can't wait to follow that obsession! Watch the full video interview above, then let us know in the comments your thought on the RHOP Season 8 premiere!
