If Magnum P.I.'s Perdita Weeks Could Have Filmed Just 1 More Scene... Here's What She Wanted It To Be

The following contains spoilers from the Magnum P.I. series finale, which aired Wednesday night on NBC. (Read our post mortem Q&A with showrunner Eric Guggenheim here.)

Magnum P.I. ended its five-season run on Wednesday night with an unplanned series finale that from go found Juliet (played by Perdita Weeks) with marriage on the brain — if only because she had found in a showering Thomas dresser drawer a diamond ring in a red felt box.

After a few scenes of awkwardness, Thomas (Jay Hernandez) explained that he merely is holding the ring, for Rick, who by episode's end would use it to propose to baby mama Suzy.

Even so, the misunderstanding did serve to get Thomas and a seemingly-way Juliet considering their future.

"About the marriage thing...," Juliet said as she and Thomas shared a series-ending dance at La Mariana. "It's just that peace has been very rare in my life and what we have together is so perfect. And the idea of changing anything is terrifying."

"I get it. You don't have anything to worry about," Thomas warmly reassured his partner. "I'm in no rush to change anything."

Juliet then oh-so-casually made clear that she would be game for such a change. In the future.

"Well... just for the record...," she shyly/playfully shared, if, in the future, you did ask me to marry you.. I would say yes."

Alas, there will be no future for Magnum P.I., which back in June got cancelled by NBC — the network that stepped up in July 2022 to offer the CBS castoff a new home.

As such — and given how series-ending dialogue above! — does Juliet's portrayer have any one final scene she would have liked to film, if time hadn't run out on the island drama? Press play above to get Weeks' answer to that question, then tell us if you agree with her pick (and her pitch for a "Christmas special")!
