'Ship Shape: How Your Favorite Pairs Are Faring

station-19-gibson-biship-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Station 19's Gibson and Bishop

THE LATEST: Veritably quarantined together inside a bird flu-infested train, tensions threatened to escalate as Bishop questioned Gibson's readiness to be back at work, and checked on his every patient. But that same crucible led them to see something new in each other, stoking a fire that could only be extinguished by....

YOWZA!: ... a shared shower. And yet pressed against each other beneath that water only seemed to rouse the flames.

THE FORECAST: Combustible. Especially if/when Herrerra gets wind of what her ex-lover is up to.

Blood in the Water

THE COUPLE: Magnum P.I.'s Magnum and Higgins

THE LATEST: If by "latest" you mean the March 25 episode that sprinkled flashbacks to their very first meeting, that icy-cold introduction — juxtaposed with their current-day, mildly warmer banter, while taking Robin Masters' yacht out for a spin — certainly illustrated how far the two have come.

AWWW!: When Higgins got shot by a yacht-jacker and toppled overboard, Thomas dove in after her... swam her back to the surface... and then insisted they battle the odds, the tide and possibly sharks to find land. He later had to revive Higgins wth CPR, just in time for her to resume a debate they'd been having.

THE FORECAST: The season finale, airing April 1, promises at least two bits of drama — first, when Magnum's deceitful ex, Hannah, resurfaces, and second, when he invites Higgins to be his partner. In private investigating, that is.

Til Death Do Us Part

THE COUPLE: NCIS: LA's Deeks and Kensi

THE LATEST: Well, they got married. So, yeah, that was a thing!

AWWW!: And upon returning from their Malibu honeymoon, their feet barely touched the floor of ops as they reveled in their new status as colleagues and husband/wife. Not even Rogers and his pesky Q&As could harsh their mellow.

THE FORECAST: As sunny as those smiles you see.

The Flash & The Furious

THE COUPLE: The Flash's Barry and Iris

THE LATEST: The newly wed WestAllen had to "grow up" fast when their yet-to-be-conceived adult daughter showed up on their (OK, Joe's) doorstep. They in turn hit a few bumps, as Nora coldly favored one 'rent over the one that one day takes away her powers, but as of late things have smoothed out.

OUCH!: The reveal that Nora is in cahoots with no less than Future Eobard Thawne elicited quite the reaction from dear ol' Dad. Can we assume Iris is similarly incensed...?

THE FORECAST: As they process and make a certain peace with the Nora news — and then rally for the next throwdowns with Cicada II — we sense Barry and Iris will only emerge stronger than ever. And hopefully then find a cozy 15 minutes to start their family!

Inheritance

THE COUPLE: Arrow's Oliver and Felicity

THE LATEST: As Ollie might put it if he were paraphrasing Paul Anka, "She's having my babyyyyyy." All told, the second half of Season 7 has been good for Olicity, who on top of their pending family expansion are back to working together on the SCPD-sanctioned Team Arrow.

AWWW!: The supercouple's fans got an unexpected treat when a recent episode flashed forward to the joyous birth of she who would be named Mia. Commence training montage!

THE FORECAST: Olicity for the time being has hit the romantic bull's-eye, with nary a roadblock in sight. That said, Emiko's determination to exploit Felicity's Archer program — and Oliver's aforementioned absence from the not-too-distant future — must give us pause.

legends-of-tomorrow-avalance-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Legends of Tomorrow's Sara and Ava

THE LATEST: Season 4 has been a veritable avalanche of romantic goodness for AvaLance 'shippers, as the former frenemies got real about the very real connection they have, busted out the G-word ("girlfriend") and started having sleepovers on the regular.

YOWZA!: Sorry, were you saying something? We've been watching Sara's birthday surprise for Ava on a loop.

THE FORECAST: Thus far, the Waverider captain and the Time Bureau boss have been able to make their time-tending teams' coexistence work. We spy a few grey clouds on the horizon, however, as the kaupe's escape threatens to reveal ugly secrets that could prove divisive.

chilling-adventures-sabrina-harvey-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina's Harvey and Sabrina

THE LATEST: After Sabrina failed to save Tommy from the Soul-Eater, she was forced to reveal to Harvey both that she's a witch and that his sorta-resurrected brother needed to be put down. In response, he broke up with her.

OUCH!: Though Harvey suggested reconciling, Sabrina turned him down, saying, "I don't know if it's safe for me to be around you."

THE FORECAST: Bleak, at least in the short term. The high school sweethearts are still very much in love, but Netflix promos for Part 2 of Season 1 (dropping Friday, April 5) reveal that Sabrina will be getting a lot closer to Nick, her smitten classmate at the Academy of the Unseen Arts.

THE COUPLE: Grey's Anatomy's Amelia and Link

THE LATEST: After calling it quits with Owen, Amelia indulged in some horizontal "pain management" with Link.

AWWW!: What was supposed to be a onetime hookup happened again in the wake of a surgery gone south.

THE FORECAST: Promising. Amelia's extra skittish since her and Owen's breakup, but she's quickly discovering there's more to Link than irresistible pheromones and an insanely chiseled jawline.

greys-anatomy-meredith-deluca-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Grey's Anatomy's Meredith and DeLuca

THE LATEST: Reeling from his mentally ill father's arrival in — and hasty departure from — Seattle, DeLuca briefly put so much distance between himself and Mer that she couldn't be sure they're actually together.

AWWW!: Guessing that the way to Mer's heart is through her stomach, DeLuca won her forgiveness by cooking her a romantic dinner.

THE FORECAST: MerLuca's vitals are excellent. But if they're gonna put the "love" in "love affair," they'd better hope Mer's kids are less divided on their coupling than viewers are.

CATERINA SCORSONE, GREG GERMANN, KIM RAVER

THE COUPLE: Grey's Anatomy's Teddy and Tom

THE LATEST: Koracick spirited away his expectant girlfriend to Palm Springs for a babymoon.

AWWW!: After babydaddy Owen declined to inform Tom that Teddy is experiencing a pregnancy scare (boo!), Koracick promised his rival that he'll fight tooth and nail for the woman he loves (yay!).

THE FORECAST: Iffy. Though Teddy seems to be crazy about Tom, it's worrisome that when she feared she was in premature labor, she didn't want him, but Owen, by her side.

This is Us - Season 3

THE COUPLE: This Is Us' Randall and Beth

THE LATEST: He got elected city councilor in Philadelphia. She rediscovered her love of dance. And the conflict those two things created has unearthed deeper, disturbing truths about give-and-take in their seemingly perfect marriage.

OUCH!: An episode-long fight ended without resolution and with Randall choosing to spend the night at his campaign headquarters.

THE FORECAST: Cloudy. And it'll likely stay that way until the flash-forward gives us evidence that they're still together a decade or so in the future.

god-friended-me-cara-miles-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: God Friended Me's Cara and Miles

THE LATEST: After finally smooching, the pair has been taking things slowly when it comes to their new relationship.

OUCH!: Cara's announcement that she's breaking their deal and writing an article about the God account caused an upset Miles to walk away from her.

THE FORECAST: Cloudy with a chance of sunshine. The newbie couple's first fight was a big one, but if there's anyone we believe can work things out, it's these two.

the-resident-conrad-nic-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: The Resident's Conrad and Nic

THE LATEST: Despite a few bumps in the road, like Nic's hesitation to move in with Conrad when he found an apartment for them, Chastain Park's central couple has been solid since getting back together.

AWWW!: Alec Shaw, Nic's partner at the clinic, has been candid about his romantic feelings for Nic — but last they spoke, Nic would only reaffirm her love for, and stability with, Conrad.

THE FORECAST: Uncertain. Nic and Conrad seem OK at the moment, but Alec has been persistent in his pursuit of Nic, leaving us to wonder how she and Conrad will fare in the weeks ahead.

Chapter Forty-Five: The Stranger

THE COUPLE: Riverdale's Betty and Jughead

THE LATEST: Riverdale's most rock-solid couple just had their version of a romantic night out: torching the old trailer that Jughead's mom has been using to manufacture Fizzle Rocks. (It's a long story. But yes, they're fine.)

AWWW!: We got a little choked up when they sang "Seventeen" together in the musical episode, lamenting why they can't just lead normal dumb teenage lives. Yeah, why can't they?

THE FORECAST: Clear skies ahead for these two. As long as there's a fresh murder to solve in Riverdale, they'll be joined at the hip.

Chapter Forty: The Great Escape

THE COUPLE: Riverdale's Cheryl and Toni

THE LATEST: The Notorious Miss Blossom and her Pretty Poison have been decidedly hot and cold lately: They even broke up a few weeks back, but then mended fences when Toni reached out to Cheryl about what love is like in her family. (Yikes... how much time have you got?)

OUCH!: That said, Toni did have some pretty good points about Cheryl's inherent selfishness and need for attention. And Cheryl did take a quick liking to Edgar Evernever...

THE FORECAST: Partly cloudy. They're back together for now, but they still haven't really solved the problems that led to them splitting up.

jane-the-virgin-jane-rafael-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Jane the Virgin's Jane and Rafael

THE LATEST: The couple was on the verge of moving in together and getting engaged when...

OUCH!: Jane's husband, Michael, returned from the dead with no memory! You know, the usual.

THE FORECAST: Ominous. Jane reassured Rafael of her love for him and reiterated her desire to shack up. But the narrator seemed to think the pair was kidding themselves when they told each other they were going to get through this latest hurdle.

hawaii-five-o-tani-junior-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Hawaii Five-0's Tani and Junior

THE LATEST: Season 9 has been determined to point the team's younger members in one another's direction, starting with that early-season, heat wave-beating dip in the ocean and continuing with small moments that confirm a significant mutual attraction.

AWWW!: But really, when Junes surprised Tani with the mermaid class? We were under the sea and over the moon. As was Tani, quite obviously.

THE FORECAST: Thus far, there have only been lingering hugs and that thing TV characters do where their eyes dart at each other's lips, wondering about That First Kiss. And based on what we've heard, the wait might not extend into summer.... Yeah, the forecast here is quite wela.

legacies-hope-landon-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Legacies' Hope and Landon

THE LATEST: After dropping the L-bomb on a holographic projection of Landon, Hope finally said it to his face in the season finale.

OUCH!: Landon also told Hope he loves her, then completely forgot she existed after she disappeared into the Malivore pit.

THE FORECAST: Romances in the TVD-verse have recovered from bouts of amnesia before (just look at Damon and Elena!), so we have faith that Hope and Landon will reunite... eventually.

pretty-little-liars-emily-alison-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Pretty Little Liars' Emily and Alison

THE LATEST: PLL ended with Emily and Alison engaged and raising their twin daughters in Rosewood.

OUCH!: We're told in the premiere of PLL: The Perfectionists that Emily — presumably still living in Rosewood with the twins — is unable to get past her "trust" issues with Alison.

THE FORECAST: Though we're optimistic about learning what really happened to "Emison," we're less hopeful about the couple reuniting on screen. (Paging Shay Mitchell!)

pretty-little-liars-hanna-caleb-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Pretty Little Liars' Hanna and Caleb

THE LATEST: At the end of PLL's series finale, we learned that the newlyweds were expecting a baby.

AWWW!: As revealed during an off-camera phone call with Mona on PLL: The Perfectionists, the "Haleb" baby has been delivered, officially making Hanna and Caleb parents.

THE FORECAST: Since we won't be seeing Hanna or Caleb on The Perfectionists, it's safe to assume they (and the baby) will continue doing just fine in Rosewood.

pretty-little-liars-spencer-toby-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Pretty Little Liars' Spencer and Toby

THE LATEST: Following a seasons-long breakup, Spencer and Toby finally reunited toward the end of PLL's run.

AWWW!: We learned in PLL: The Perfectionists that Spencer and Toby decided to elope.

THE FORECAST: Because all of the drama seems to be happening in Beacon Heights, "Spoby" should be free to thrive in Rosewood.

shadowhunters-alec-magnus-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Shadowhunters' Alec and Magnus

THE LATEST: As payment for his new (wonky) powers, Magnus signed his apartment over to Lorenzo, forcing him to temporarily move into the Institute with Alec.

AWWW!: Alec told Magnus it's time for him to find a new place — one where they can live together!

THE FORECAST: Assuming Magnus recovers from the supernatural coma he fell into shortly after agreeing to move in with Alec, these two should live happily ever after.

supergirl-brainy-nia-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: Supergirl's Brainy and Nia

THE LATEST: After an awkward non-date with Brainy, Nia kissed him in the middle of an existential crisis.

OUCH!: Quoting the great philosopher Keanu Reeves, Brainy told Nia, "Relationships based on intense experiences never work. It pains me to say... you and I can never be together."

THE FORECAST: Though Brainy has reservations about dating Nia, executive producer Jessica Queller assures us this is just the "beginning of their will-they-won't-they romance."

seal-team-sonny-lisa-ship-shape

THE COUPLE: SEAL Team's Sonny and Lisa

THE LATEST: Having flirted with a watery death, Sonny was gung-ho to play with fire and pursue... well, something, with colleague Lisa. But she pragmatically had to question if, given their respective track records, such an endeavor would be worth the disappointment.

AWWW!: As Lisa revealed to the team that she was moving to OCS to be a "cake eater," Sonny shot her a look of complete and total support, helping her get through the emotional disclosure.

THE FORECAST: The OCS thing of course means the threat of a policy violation is no longer in play, should they choose to (ahem) play, so.... Things are looking good!
