“As much as I made everyone mad, I don’t regret anything that I did,” Francesca Farago tells TVLine of her experience filming Netflix’s Too Hot to Handle.
In the interest of seeing just how little she regrets, TVLine asked the reality show’s breakout star to revisit some of the season’s most controversial moments.

Francesca and Harry were the first couple to break the rules, costing the group $3,000 — but it was a foregone conclusion, as far as she’s concerned. “Because Harry and I connected so early on, everyone expected us to break the rules first,” she says. “We were so strong from Day 1. I didn’t go into the competition thinking that I would be the first person to break the rules. I just thought, ‘If I want to kiss him, I’m going to kiss him.'”

Furious with Harry for lying about who initiated their rule-breaking lip lock, Francesca sought revenge on her housemates by blowing another $3,000 on a kiss with Haley. “I definitely feel like that was necessary,” Francesca says. “It was easy for her and I to make that decision because we weren’t really forming strong friendships with anyone else in the house at that moment. We felt like no one was really taking the time to get to know us, and we really wanted to stir the pot. Plus, Haley’s beautiful, so it was fun to kiss her. It was a win-win for me.”

“[Haley and I] thought we were going to get away with the kiss,” Francesca admits. “This secret was going to be taken to our grave. No one was going to know the truth until they actually watched the show. If we knew that Lana was going to throw us under the bus, we might have told some people ourselves so they would have been less mad. Everybody was really mad, and understandably so, but it was so fun. Haley and I had such a good time together. I enjoyed watching her lie to the group. It was so hard to contain my laughter. We were like partners in crime.”

Francesca accepting Kori’s invitation for a date in Episode 7 caught a few players by surprise — especially Chloe, who famously exclaimed, “Her morals are none!” — but Fran wouldn’t have done anything differently. “Harry and I both knew that if someone else asked us on a date, we were going to do it,” she tells us. “Even though we’re so strong and we know we’ve found what we want, [I just wanted to] prove it to the group. A little test here and there is good for a relationship. Kori’s an attractive guy, and I knew he was interested in me right away, so going on the date and shutting him down was my way of proving to everyone that Harry and I were as strong as we said we were.”

After Francesca and Harry cost the group a whopping $20K in Episode 6, we thought we’d seen the worst of things… until Francesca gave Harry a $6,000 surprise while their fellow competitors slumbered in Episode 7. “We really went back and forth,” she admits. “He didn’t want to break the rules on some days, and I was the one who really cared on other days. We honestly held off as much as we could, but there were particular moments where we just couldn’t hold off anymore. And we were like, ‘Screw it. Let’s just do what we have to do.’ We knew everybody was going to be upset with us, but whatever. I didn’t come here to make friends.”

The finale gave Francesca and Harry an unexpected shot at redemption, allowing them to earn back the $32,000 they lost by spending one hands-free night in the private suite. As she tells us, “It was very hard. There were definitely moments where I was like, ‘Screw it, let’s just do some hanky-panky. These people don’t need the money.’ But we really had learned so much, and it’s not just about us. We didn’t want to be selfish. So we played some games, we played hide-and-seek, he tied himself to a chair at one point, and it just ended up working out. We proved everyone wrong!”

One of the most controversial moments of the entire season came in the final moments, when all 10 remaining contestants learned they would split the prize money evenly — an outcome Francesca didn’t exactly love. “When I stood up first, and then Harry stood up next, I was like, ‘Yes!'” she says. “I felt like a new person, and I knew Harry grew a lot as well. There were a few others [who also grew], but I thought the rest of the people in the group didn’t deserve any of the money at all. I was shocked when we all won. I know we’re all in this together, but of course I would have rather me and Harry just won it.”
