The Walking Dead: Glenn's 15 Most Memorable Moments

So adorably trusting was Glenn that, although he knew Maggie was ticked at him for blabbing about Hershel's barn full of walkers in Season 2's "Pretty Much Dead Already," he still handed his cap right over, thus allowing her to use it to crack an egg over his head.

Even before we actually laid eyes on Glenn in the series' second episode, we couldn't help but love him when, at the tail end of the premiere, "Days Gone By," he radioed the tank in which future friend Rick was hiding to call him a dumbass and ask if he was "cozy in there."

To his credit, Glenn tried — hard! — not to get into it with Aiden in Season 5's "Remember." Even when Deanna's son got in his face, he gave the brat an out. "No one's impressed, man," our hero said. "Walk away." Instead, Aiden took a swing, missed and was rewarded with a sore jaw and a bruised ego.

Rick couldn't believe it when, in Season 3's "Killer Within," Daryl informed him that Glenn was in the penitentiary's guard tower with Maggie again. "They were just up there last night," Rick noted. But, oh yeah, that was exactly where they found ol' loverboy, red-faced and half-dressed.

There may be no cure for the common cold, but thankfully, Hershel and Maggie were able to save Glenn from the uncommon one that, in a particularly harrowing scene from Season 4's "Internment," caused him to turn blue and spit up a mouthful of his own blood.

Even after cowardly Nicholas tried (and tried, and tried!) to murder Glenn in Season 5's finale, "Conquer," our hero refused to take out his attacker when he had the chance. Of course, this good deed would not go unpunished. (See: No. 3.)

After being separated from Maggie during the Governor's attack on the prison in Season 4's "Too Far Gone," Glenn had one mission in life: to get back to her. When, three long episodes later, he did, it was all we could do not to break out our best Peaches & Herb. "Reunited, and it feels so good... "

Who's heart didn't beat at least a little bit faster when, during Season 4's "Infected," Glenn sneakily snapped a Polaroid of a sleeping Maggie, then, even when she demanded that he give it up, playfully stood his ground, insisting that that was "not gonna happen."

After using a car alarm to draw walkers away from his fellow survivors in Season 1's "Guts," Glenn put the "joy" in "joyride," zipping down deserted highways with an exuberance that was so contagious, it probably could've made a walker crack a smile.

In a scene that now seems eerily prescient, Glenn — along with Rick and Daryl — was lined up in Season 5's premiere, "No Sanctuary," to be bludgeoned with a bat and have his throat slit by the cannibalistic Termians. At the time, we (foolishly!) thought it couldn't get any tenser.

By Season 2's "Judge, Jury, Executioner," Hershel had come so far from asking Maggie what was going on between her and "the Asian boy" that he gave Glenn his grandfather's pocket watch and sweetly told him, "No man is good enough for your little girl... until one is."

The only thing that could possibly have been more priceless than the stunned look on Glenn's face when, in Season 2's "Cherokee Rose," Maggie cheerfully said that she would have sex with him was his incredulous response: "Really?"

Since Robert Kirkman's comic-book series forewarned us that Glenn would be "struck out" by Negan, the show pulled a fast one — or made us think that it had — by "killing off" Maggie's husband ahead of schedule in Season 6's "Thank You." (Or, as we call it, "Thanks for Nothing, Nicholas.")

In Season 3's "When the Dead Come Knocking," Merle thought that there was no way Glenn would be able defend himself against a ravenous walker — not while duct-taped to a chair! But, of course, Daryl's brother was unaware of what a total badass Glenn was.

And they say romance is dead! After cutting an engagement ring off of a walker — along with its finger — Glenn presented it (the ring, not the finger!) to Maggie in Season 3's "This Sorrowful Life," and of course, she accepted his proposal.
