You know it's a pretty good season of The Voice when the coaches pass on a contestant whose nickname is Mr. Superfantastic. And now that Season 18's Blind Auditions have been completed — and Mr. Superfantastic has been downgraded to Mr. Justalrightthanksforcoming — we can see more clearly which of Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson, John Legend and Nick Jonas' wannabe winners stand the best chance of following in Jake Hoot's bootsteps.

It seems wrong to say it while we're all practicing social distancing, but there really is no better word to describe the raucous rendition of Johnnyswim's "Home" that Team Nick's preschool music teacher delivered than... infectious.

And now for something completely different... Team Kelly's opera singer, The Voice's first since Chris Mann back in Season 2, raised the roof with her flawless, full-throated performance of "Time to Say Goodbye."

If it is, as our frontrunner's audition song suggested, "a man's, man's, man's world," he's the man, man, man to which it belongs. Team Legend's "category-breaker" packed his tryout with so many breathtaking runs, he left us panting.

So fiery and full of promise was the future Team Legend member's cover of Stevie Ray Vaughan's "Pride & Joy" that his coach likened his flexible voice to a Swiss Army knife in that it could do it all.

Before being recruited by Nick, this military man inspired Kelly's most appreciative stankface with an impassioned take on Stevie Wonder's "Lately" that made it clear he'd have no trouble being heard in the nosebleed seats.

After Season 18's best-tressed contestant dazzled with her pitch-perfect reinterpretation of Julia Michaels' "Issues," coach-to-be Kelly marveled that her control was as impressive as her cutting-edge style.

Team Legend's most-memorably-monikered contestant leapt to (near) the top of the heap by performing the Beatles' "Blackbird" in so stunningly organic a fashion that his audition felt less like a song being performed than a star being born.

Eight years after she'd planned to audition, this Team Blake powerhouse made the most of her long-overdue tryout by covering Foreigner's "I Want to Know What Love Is" with a soulfulness matched only by her precision.

Oversized hats off to Team Legend's indie-popster. Her rendition of Maggie Rogers' "Light On," alternately ethereal and powerful, was most of all so heavenly that her future coach was moved to call it angelic.
