MOST RELIGIOUS SPEECH

Leave it to Chris Pratt to begin his Generation Award speech by explaining why you shouldn't pee on top of your poop... then pivot to a message about the power of prayer and the importance of remembering that our "grace was paid for with somebody else's blood. Do not forget it. Don't take it for granted. It's a gift for which none of us are worthy. So do your best to earn it."

MOST...ACHE?

Two questions:

(1) How long has Common had this mustache?

(2) Why wasn't it announced separately as a major celebrity guest?

MOST INSPIRING SPEECH

"I just want to say to every kid, you can live your dreams and wear dresses. You can live your dreams and kiss the one that you love, no matter what gender they are. You can live your dreams and believe in magic. You can be yourself." — Love, Simon's Keiynan Lonsdale accepting the award for Best Kiss

BEST SALARY DISPUTE

A funny thing happened when Tiffany Haddish's Girls Trip co-stars, Jada Pinkett Smith and Queen Latifah, crashed her visit to Wakanda:

Smith: "Wait! You don't have to do this."

Haddish: "Easy for you to say, Jada. I need this gig! You and Latifah got paid for Girls Trip!"

Smith: "Oh, yeah. I definitely got paid. that's for sure."

Latifah: [Laughs] "I still can't believe how much they pay me. Dumb money."

BEST ROSEANNE JOKE

Black Panther star Michael B. Jordan couldn't believe he won Best Villain, telling the audience, "I thought Roseanne had that in the bag."

(Look, I never said this was a crowded category.)

BEST TAYLOR SWIFT IMPRESSION

Riverdale's Madelaine Petsch is totally ready to win Best New Artist at the CMA Awards. Or the ACM Awards. Or the CMT Awards. (Wait, how many country music award shows are there?)

BEST DRESSED

You have to admit, Tiffany Haddish pulled off Jennifer Lopez's iconic 2000 Grammys dress a lot better than Trey Parker did.

WORST TEASE

Come on, MTV, you're going to have Chadwick Boseman accept Tiffany Haddish's grapefruit challenge, but not actually let us see it?!

BEST NEW HERO

I know this isn't a real category, but after witnessing the majesty that was Tiffany Hadish as "Black Unicorn," I think we can all agree it should be.

BEST EDITING

If you didn't stay through the end credits of Star Wars: The Last Jedi, you apparently missed a hell of a showdown between Kylo Ren and Tiffany Haddish, which culminated in — what else — a battle over a vibrator.

BEST HAND-OFF

He may play a king in Black Panther, but Chadwick Boseman proved to be a real-life prince when he handed his Best Hero award to real-life hero James Shaw, Jr.

BEST REVENGE

As part of her video acceptance speech for Best Performance in a Show, Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown snuck in a pretty clear message for the anonymous trolls who bullied her into deleting her Twitter account:

"There should be no space in this world for bullying. I'm not going to tolerate it, and neither should any of you. ... If you need a reminder of how worthy you are and to rise above the hate, message me on Instagram."

BEST REMINDER

Rather than simply basking in the glory of her Trailblazer Award, The Chi creator Lena Waithe took a moment to educate viewers about the ballroom culture of the 1980s, citing several influential individuals who blazed their own trails.
