HTGAWM: Who Shot Annalise?
AMY OKUDA
We don't know much about the wealthy twentysomething — other than the fact that Annalise is defending her and her brother on charges of murdering their parents. But seeing how Frank winds up with an unconscious Catherine in the back of his car in the hours after the shooting, we know something seriously warped is going on with her. And it's always the quiet ones, anyhow, isn't it? Odds: 2-1
ALFRED ENOCH
Wes and Annalise are bound by a pact of mutually assured destruction — she knows he killed Sam, he knows she helped cover up the murder — but there's also some larger, yet-to-be-revealed connection Annalise is keeping from him. Could Annalise have played a role in Wes' mother's suicide? Could she be his bio-mom? And is the secret in question enough to make the ever-sullen Wes homicidal? We do know he's packing a pistol on Shooting Night, so... Odds: 3-1
VIOLA DAVIS
Annalise confessed earlier this season that she thinks the world would be a better place if she wasn't in it... which got us thinking. What if turning a gun on herself helped one of Annalise's minions get away with the Shooting Night death of Emily Sinclair? Can't you see Viola Davis' alter ego pulling the trigger — in another Emmy-worthy moment? Odds: 7-2
JACK FALAHEE
We know from prior flash-forwards that Connor — who's clashed with Annalise all season — is the last person hovering over her as she bleeds out in the Hapstall living room. And dude's not doing chest compressions, he's telling his dying professor that everything is always her fault. If Connor and Oliver ever had time to Netflix and chill with Horrible Bosses, maybe Mr. Walsh got some very dark inspiration and put a bullet into A's torso. Odds: 6-1
SARAH BURNS
Annalise has been humiliating the ambitious ADA in court all season. It's not hard to imagine her grabbing a sidearm and trying to "go handle a bitch" (as La Keating so poetically puts it) in bang-bang-bang fashion. Odds: 8-1
LIZA WEIL
Just last week, Lurky McChurchmouse seethed "I want you to die" at her benefactor — payback for Annalise sharing Bonnie's story of childhood abuse to keep Asher from turning them in to the police (for a murder they didn't actually commit). Sure, there's probably no one Bonnie loves more than The Big A — but let's not forget we're talking about the woman who put a plastic bag over Rebecca's head and barely flinched as she suffocated. Odds: 10-1
AJA NAOMI KING
We know she's got a short fuse — remember how she tried to slap Aiden's mom last season? — and a crush (or something like it) on murder suspect Caleb. Plus, she's at the scene of the crime on Shooting Night, then fields the question "Is she OK?" from Caleb later in the evening. Still — going to prison without ever having had an orgasm? Say it ain't so! Odds: 12-1
LIZA WEIL, CHARLIE WEBER
We know he's the one who ended Lila Stangard's life — at the request of Annalise's late hubby Sam. Annalise, however, remains completely unaware. If that ugliness comes to life on Shooting Night, could Frank turn on Annalise to save his own hide — even though he pretty much sits at her right hand? Dude does have a penchant for swinging women's bodies (Lila, Rebecca, Catherine) over his shoulder like they're mere sacks of potatoes. Odds: 15-1
JEFFERSON WHITE
The newest player on the HTGAWM chess board is still an unknown quantity — but he's already surreptitiously surveilling Connor and Oliver, and surprised the latter fella by sneaking into his apartment and offering a perky salutation during last week's cliffhanger. We haven't been clued in to his whereabouts on Shooting Night, but would you really be all that shocked if he popped out from behind some curtains or got caught lurking in the pantry? Odds: 15-1
MATT MCGORRY
He's a lover, not a fighter! But Annalise's maneuvers have left him estranged from his family... and the stress of his possible prosecution for his misdeeds at Trotter Lake might be enough to make him snap, aim, fire. Odds: 20-1
KARLA SOUZA
Annalise finally gave the cool-headed law student a compliment in last week's episode: Laurel's not foolish enough to curb that kind of momentum with a gunshot to the torso, is she? Then again, Laurel's partnership with pistol-toting Wes — and eagerness to keep Connor and Michaela under their thumbs — does read a little suspicious, no? Odds: 20-1
KENDRICK SAMPSON
From what we can tell, he's not at the Hapstall Mansion on Shooting Night, but instead holed up in Michaela's apartment awaiting her return. Still, his nervous query — "Is she OK?" — upon Michaela's arrival makes us at least a little wary. Did he pull the trigger and run — leaving Michaela & Co. to clean up his mess? Crazier stuff has happened on this show. Odds: 25-1
BILLY BROWN
Like Caleb, Nate doesn't appear to be on the grounds of the Hapstall compound during the attempt on Annalise's life. That said, his background as a police detective makes him an expert at avoiding detection — and the fact that his erstwhile lover framed him for Sam's death gives him motive, too. Odds: 30-1
FAMKE JANSSEN
Yeah, she lives in NYC. And sure, Annalise is probably the great love of her life. But... Eve also happens to be seemingly the only person who knows Annalise's true connection to Wes — and if Famke Janssen's alter ego was somehow wrapped up in that scenario, maybe there's a chance she'd kill to keep her past misdeeds a secret? Odds: 50-1
CONRAD RICAMORA
Aw hell no! Our Oliver is way too sweet for attempted homicide... or is he? Dun-dun-dunnnnh. Odds: 100-1
