11 TV Characters Heading For A Hot Fall

blindspot-weller

Don't be surprised if a dark cloud follows the G-man into the NBC drama's sophomore season — and stays with him. After all, besides grieving for his father, Weller learned only after kissing Jane toward the tail end of Season 1 that she wasn't his long-lost childhood friend Taylor after all. D'oh!

Since Season 10 will pick up right where Season 9 left off, Howard's better half will still have months of morning sickness and kooky cravings to go before her due date. All the better to build our anticipation of what promises to be a delivery-room scene for the ages, no? And is anyone else expecting Bernadette's labor pains to make her sound once again like Wolowitz's late mom?

Chicago Fire - Season 4

The firefighters of Firehouse 51 won't have to go far to battle their next blaze — Jimmy will be starting it at their HQ. After he reaches up from the bottom of the ladder to try and take down his chief Boden — whose judgment he blames for the death of his brother — the Windy City will no longer be big enough for the both of them. May the best (fire)man win?

Dare we say, no TV character fudged with their future nearly as much as the Central City speedster, whose heart-driven rescue of his mother in the past is certain to resonate — badly? — in the present. The only question, really, is just how much of his fall will Barry need to spend cleaning up his well-intentioned mess?

JUSTIN CHAMBERS, CAMILLA LUDDINGTON

Alex insisted in the Season 12 finale that he was over his non-fiancée and her secrets. But the way he attacked Andrew suggested that he protested too much. So, when Season 13 begins, we predict that Jo — or whatever her real name is! — will finally reveal to him that she's already married and begin the terrifying process of divorcing her abusive husband.

Grimm - Season 5

In the Season 5 finale, Rosalee found out that she was pregnant... just before a violent Black Claw attack. Given how fiercely the Fuchsbau has reacted when hubby Monroe was in danger, we predict that the upcoming sixth season (and the ongoing Wesen uprising) will give her plenty of opportunities to bravely defend her fledgling family — and, of course, that baby's gotta arrive sometime, right?

htgawm-wes

The law student would make this list even if he was only going into Season 3 with all that baggage that he has to unpack: No sooner had he tracked down his real father, Wallace, than the guy was murdered right in front of his eyes! But on top of that emotional maelstrom, Wes is all but guaranteed to be involved in the investigation into whodunit.

the-middle-axl-true-love

Frankie's voiceover during the Season 7 epilogue — not to mention the twitterpated look on the Ax Man's face — told us that he was about to meet the love of his life. Which is a bummer, on one hand. (Bye, Devin Levin.) But, on the other, it's going to be fascinating to see how in Season 8 the onetime Casanova mans up in order to settle down.

once-upon-a-time-regina-evil-queen

As Season 5 drew to a close, the onetime Queen of Mean made her most heroic gesture yet by splitting off and (seemingly) snuffing her evil side — a development which in and of itself would make for an interesting fall. But given that the Purely Evil Queen in fact survived and must wish her "better" half ill will, double trouble surely is on tap for Storybrooke's mayor.

the-walking-dead-maggie-season-6

Since Maggie ended Season 6 in the midst of a difficult pregnancy — and with both her and husband Glenn's heads on the chopping block — it looks like things are going to get (a whole lot) worse for her before they get better. But if, as in the comics, it does turn out to be Glenn who gets whacked by Negan, at least his widow will have her new role as Alexandria-Hilltop go-between to distract her.

The Blacklist - Season 3

An embarrassment of riches is the only way to describe the quantity — and, for that matter, quality! — of story that will greet Liz upon the NBC drama's return for Season 4. In addition to her fiancé and baby being abducted, she's just met the man who might be her biodad and come back from the dead — which, for better or worse, Red knows!
