EmmyWinners-Munster

The Amazing Race
Outstanding Reality Competition

Explaining the series' latest win, executive producer Bertram van Munster said, "Our show is really different. In a sense I think it a true reality show. You go, you come in first, you win; you come in last, you're out... It's completely unpredictable and I think it's attractive for an audience.... We don't expect to win. We just don't know how it happens. I'm shaking in my boots. It's like, 'Wow!' We have some heavy competition. There are some good shows out there."

EmmysWinnersTomBergeron

Tom Bergeron, Dancing With the Stars
Outstanding Reality Host
"It is the most relaxed part of my day," Bergeron said of his Dancing gig. "I am never more comfortable than when I am on the stage live on that show." Then, asked about fan fave Maksim Chmerikovsky's possible exit from the series, Bergeron clarified, "At the end of his contract, which runs through two more seasons and 2013, I think, he's thinking of pursuing acting and other things. But no, he's going to be with us beyond this season."

EmmysWinner-JulieBowen

Julie Bowen, Modern Family
Supporting Actress in a Comedy
Asked where she'll showcase her latest Emmy, Bowen said, "High out of the reach of my son Oliver, who broke the last one. Just on a high shelf away from the small children that occupy my house. I'm not sure where, though." Then throwing props to her fellow nominee and castmate Sofia Vergara, she raved, "She really doesn't get the credit she deserves as an actress.... There's only a few of us that really understand that what she does is not just play herself. "

Emmyswinner-LouisCK

Louis CK
Writing in a Comedy Series (Louie)
Writing in a Variety, Music or Comedy Series (Louis CK Live at the Beacon Theater)
On why FX's Louie worked and his previous show, HBO's Lucky Louie , didn't, he said, "I'm better than I was before, and hopefully I'll be better later, too. Whenever you leave behind failure, then you're doing better. ... I'm older too. And older people are smarter and funnier."

Emmyswinner-JonCryer

Jon Cryer, Two and a Half Men
Lead Actor in a Comedy

"I am as shocked as you people. That's all I'm going to say. That's why my speech sucked... I thought Jim Parsons was going to win again. Clearly [The] Big Bang [Theory] is at the top of its game right now, and he unfortunately hasn't gotten any worse. I just did not for a minute think that this was going to happen."

EmmyWinnersClaireDanes

Claire Danes, Homeland
Lead Actress in a Drama
It's "No pressure, you know," Danes said of President Obama's affinity for the Showtime spy drama. "It's way cool that he is a fan. I think it speaks to the relevancy of the show, and it's hugely validating. ...We're still stupefied by that fact, that he's tuning in consistently."

Emmyswinner-JuliaLouisDreyfus

Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Veep

On stopping Mad Men's streak of four straight wins, series lead Claire Danes said, "We didn't make our show just to undermine them." Nonetheless, the Showtime spy drama deserves every of the many accolades it earned this first time around. "We're delighted and thrilled and a little startled by this," Danes admitted. "I don't think anyone was expecting to be recognized in this way right off the bat. It feels pretty nice."

EmmysWinnersJessicaLange

Jessica Lange, American Horror Story
Supporting Actress in a Miniseries/TV Movie

On her role as a nun who runs Season 2's Asylum, Lange said, "It's a more complex story. Ryan [Murphy] likes to create these things around themes. Last year it was infidelity; this year it's about faith and madness. I think the themes are bigger this year, which allows for all of us to go further. My character goes from A to Z in this one."

How will he and his Emmy-winning leading lady Claire Danes celebrate their fruitful night? "We're going to go away to a romantic island together," Lewis quipped. With a nod to Danes' pregnancy, he added: "When that baby's ginger, you guys are going to have a field day."

Nor is Sofia Vergara holding a grudge against castmate Julie Bowen, who bested her in the supporting actress race. "To be able to have a show like this, my work to be playing with these people and playing my character, for me, it's a dream," said the Colombian bombshell. Modern Family
Director in a Comedy

Asked if Modern Family – two members of which are a gay couple — paved the way for other shows to introduce LGBT characters, showrunner/director Steve Levitan said, "Every time there's a show like Modern Family or Will & Grace ... that portrays gay or lesbian characters and it's successful, it just further opens the door. It makes executives more comfortable with that subject matter."

EmmysWInners-JulianneMoore

Julianne Moore, Game Change
Lead Actress in a Miniseries/TV Movie

"I wanted to give a shout-out to two women who work in television who were incredibly influential in the 2008 election — [Saturday Night Live's] Tina Fey and [newswoman] Katie Couric. In my research, when I saw how influential they were, it was really quite impressive."

Emmyswinner-EricStonestreet

Eric Stonestreet, Modern Family
Supporting Actor in a Comedy
"It's going to be pretty violent," Stonestreet joked of the on-set rivalry between him and his fellow nominees. "Ed [O'Neill] is probably going to do his jujitsu and steal it. And Jesse [Tyler Ferguson]'s going to cock his hip."
