DC'S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW

Stay Puft Marshmallow Man, consider yourself served. To vanquish Mallus, the Legends merged their totems to generate an equally massive and mighty foe — in the form of that la-la-lovable Beebo. It was the plush's Karate Kid-style "Come at me" wave that slayed us.

LUCIFER

To draw in a killer, Lucifer volunteered to train Amenadiel to fight like a proper human instead of a mighty angel. Cue The Karate Kid's "You're the Best Around" and a training montage straight out of Rocky, complete with chicken chasing!

CRAZY EX-GIRLFRIEND

Anyone considering the legal profession should be contractually obligated to watch Season 4's sizzling '90s R&B throwback jam "Don't Be a Lawyer," with Rebecca's law-firm colleague Jim warning listeners that being an attorney is a spiritual dead end: "The job is inherently crappy/That's why you've never met a lawyer who's happy!"

INSECURE

Kelli's wild Coachella weekend ended in undignified — but hilarious — fashion, as she flew into a rage after losing her spot in front of the Beyoncé stage, forcing security to use a stun gun on her. Having, um, wet her pants, she implored her friends to look away: "Remember me different!"

ROSEANNE

Jackie tries a wee bit too hard to impress the wealthy Andrea. She introduces herself as "Jacqueline" (emphasis on the "quel"), preaches about the importance of "journeys," and then mouths along like an idiot when Andrea explains the surrogacy process to Roseanne.

SILICON VALLEY

Surprising absolutely no one, hopelessly dorky number-cruncher Jared fell in love with a female android named Fiona, gushing to Richard about their all-night chat over a bottle of rosé. They even shared their deepest fears: "I told her I was afraid of being found out as a fraud, and she told me that she's afraid of magnets."

SUPERSTORE

After being called into work just a few days after giving birth to her child, Amy unloads on Glenn, suggesting that her unsympathetic boss kill himself during an expletive-laden rant about hemorrhoids and uterine lining.

IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA

Season 13's "clip show" — which saw the Paddy's Pub gang remembering things that never actually happened to them — included the Sunny cast doing a spot-on recreation of the classic Seinfeld episode "The Contest," complete with Charlie in a Kramer fright wig slamming his money down on Jerry's... er, Mac and Dennis' counter.

Did you know certain stores have a "no chase" policy for shoplifters? Al's friend Tracy sure did, and he took full advantage, casually announcing that he was stealing a few pairs of shoes and walking out with a smile, ignoring the helpful salesperson's pleas: "See? He gotta keep giving me great customer service. That's all he can do."

BROOKLYN NINE-NINE

Jake gets "chills, literal chills" when his criminal lineup is coaxed into delivering a five-part harmony of The Backstreet Boys' "I Want It That Way." Mesmerized, the detective forgets why it was necessary to identify the killer pipes in the first place.

FAMILY GUY

In a scene as random as gross, and as gross as funny, Peter waited until he was in his car — with "the privacy of glass all around" him — to pick his nose. What followed, as he tried to flick his booger out the window, was a battle as epic as his legendary chicken fights.

SCHITT'S CREEK

In the quintessential Moira scene, the melodrama queen confessed to David why she felt as "emotionally encumbered" as when she'd played Lady Macbeth on a cruise ship: She'd killed a man! Or so she'd convinced herself. All she'd really done was refuse to share her "complimentary bolus" with an ill-fated motel guest.

GLOW

After spending the day covertly shopping GLOW to potential buyers, Debbie and Bash were overcome with nerves when they actually had to field phone calls from interested networks. The looks of sheer panic on their faces were priceless, as was the riotously bizarre, out-of-left-field accent that Debbie used when she answered a call.

SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE

The Supreme Court confirmation hearings for Judge Brett Kavanaugh weren't exactly uplifting. But SNL managed to bring some levity to the proceedings with the help of Matt Damon, who appeared as Kavanaugh in the Season 44 premiere. As Damon mocked Kavanaugh's emotional opening statements ("I wrote this last night, while screaming into an empty bag of Doritos!"), he gave us a reason to laugh during one of the year's bleakest political moments.

YOUNGER

Liza's big secret was thisclose to coming out in Season 5, but she managed to concoct a cover-up that was just crazy enough to work: She's age-queer! When confronted with the suggestion that she might actually be 41, Liza delivered an "insane and probably offensive" counterpoint that she doesn't identify as any age. Did she make any sense? Nope. Did we enjoy watching her try? Absolutely.

MANIAC

Netflix's star-studded limited series was trippy, cerebral and, perhaps surprisingly, very funny. Case in point: The grainy, '80s-inspired instructional video that introduced Maniac's pharmaceutical drug trial. As Justin Theroux's Dr. Mantleray explained the trial, he awkwardly read from a dull script and pretended to dodge the video's hilariously bad, computer-generated graphics. By the end of the scene, we were nearly ready to pull our dusty VCRs out of the basement.

SINGLE PARENTS

With no disrespect to the sitcom's adult ensemble, pint-sized Marlow Barkley was the real star of Episode 7, in which Sophie tried to poke holes in Will and Douglas' lie that she been named the healthiest child in America. We know Sophie's just a kid, but her hysterical, rapid-fire interrogation of Douglas at the end of the episode made one thing very clear: She is not to be messed with.

THE GOOD PLACE

Upon learning that he had died, been resurrected and was destined to spend eternity in The Bad Place, Chidi experienced a bit of a mental breakdown. (Really, can you blame him?) And while we don't mean to mock his existential dread, we were utterly tickled by Chidi's subsequent university lecture, in which he cooked up a vat of marshmallow-and-M&Ms chili and informed his students that ancient philosophers were full of "hot stinky cat dookie" when they tried to decipher the meaning of life.

TRIAL & ERROR

In the NBC sitcom's Season 2 finale, Jayma Mays taught a masterclass in physical comedy, as Carol Anne Keane went into labor during a trial — and tried really, really hard not to give birth right there on the courtroom floor. The result was a delightfully slapstick (and, yes, slightly gross) scene that it would have been a crime to leave off our list.

BIG MOUTH

In the lewdest after-school special you've ever seen, Leah was faced with a very important question: What kind of contraception does she want to use? Cue a hilarious (and educational!) interlude of Miss Conception, a Bachelorette send-up in which Leah met all of her potential birth control options. Our personal favorite? The diaphragm, who knows she won't get picked even though "your mother and I were really good friends."
