The Voice Season 24 Poll: Who Will Win? And Who Should?
You know The Voice is having an especially good season if a talent as undeniable as Team Niall Horan's Alexa Wildish could be cut even before the Live Shows, and we're not still grumbling about her absence from the Top 5. Well, not grumbling as much, anyway.
Coming up on the NBC sing-off's finale (Monday at 8/7c), we're left with an embarrassment of riches, a quintet of contestants that is so impressive, we're all but assured a winner who doesn't make us cry foul over the results. Will your favorite or mine emerge victorious? Obviously not necessarily. But we'll at least be able to say, "Yeah, I can see how he/she came out on top."
Now then, who among them is the likeliest to succeed? Consider...
JACQUIE ROAR | Team Reba McEntire's belter had to sing for the Instant Save to make the Top 5 — not a great omen going into the Finals. Plus, the country superstar's following is likelier to vote for a certain other member of her team. (See below.) That leaves Jacquie's chances of being Gina Miles' successor at, let's say, 10%.
MARA JUSTINE | Though Team Niall Horan's veteran of American Idol and America's Got Talent definitely has the chops and the stage presence to decisively win the title, she hasn't seemed to generate the kind of hoopla that her one remaining teammate has. Translation: Her odds of winning sit at about 12%.
RUBY LEIGH | The youngest contender in the running has been a mite uneven in the Live Shows. But, given that the 16-year-old Team Reba standout has such a memorable yodel — as well as the country lane all to herself now that Team Gwen Stefani's BIAS has gone bye-bye — her odds of winning are probably in the neighborhood of 18%.
HUNTLEY | Team Niall's rock god has described himself — and accurately — as a cross between Joe Cocker and Hozier. His powerful pipes, crowd-pleasing performances and likable personality — dude even gets away with a manbun! — put his chances of being named the victor at about 25%. His biggest obstacle?
LILA FORDE | Heaven knows Team John Legend's Joni (Mitchell) come lately has the voice of an angel. She also has before her a clear path to success, one laid out in Season 16 by the superlative Maelyn Jarmon (another Team Legend MVP). Gorgeous vocals and classic song stylings leave Lila's odds of winning at 35%.
OK, your turn. Who do you think will win Season 24, and who do you think should win? Vote in the polls below, then back up your votes in the comments.
