Emmys 2025 Poll: What Should Win For Outstanding Limited Series?

For the second year in a row, Netflix has thrown a last-minute wrench into the Emmy race for best limited or anthology series.

Six months ago, we would've said this is The Penguin's race to lose, with HBO's Batman offshoot earning raves for its gritty portrayal of crime boss Oz Cobb, played by an unrecognizable Colin Farrell. But just like it did with Baby Reindeer did last year, Netflix blindsided us with Adolescence, a searing portrait of a British boy accused of murder that's told across four riveting episodes, each filmed in a single take. Following its March debut, Adolescence shot to the top of Netflix's streaming charts — and it has shot to the lead in this Emmy category, too.

Netflix has a couple of other contenders here, too, in Season 7 of the chilling sci-fi anthology Black Mirror and Season 2 of Ryan Murphy's Monster anthology, centered on brothers/convicted killers Lyle and Erik Menendez. Rounding out the field is FX/Hulu's Dying for Sex, starring Michelle Williams as a woman facing terminal cancer who decides to expand her sexual boundaries in the short time she has left.

Did Adolescence shoot to the top of your personal list, too? Or do you prefer one of the other nominees? Vote for your favorite in the poll below, then hit the comments to defend your pick.
