Casting News: Anthony Michael Hall Joins Wednesday, Y&R Exit And More
Anthony Michael Hall is reteaming with his Edward Scissorhands director Tim Burton on Wednesday.
The actor will appear in an undisclosed role during Season 2 of the Netflix series, which Burton executive-produces and directs, our sister site Variety reports. Hall's TV credits include Reacher, The Goldbergs, Bosch: Legacy, Awkward and The Dead Zone.
As previously announced, Wednesday Season 2 will also welcome Steve Buscemi (Boardwalk Empire) as Barry Dort, Billie Piper (Doctor Who) as Capri and Thandiwe Newton (Westworld) as Dr. Fairburn. Also cast are Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill), Owen Painter (The Handmaid's Tale) and Noah Taylor (Law & Order: Organized Crime).
Season 2 guest stars include Joanna Lumley (Fool Me Once) as Grandmama, Fred Armisen as Uncle Fester and Addams Family film franchise vet Christopher Lloyd in an undisclosed role. They'll be joined by Frances O'Connor (The Missing), Haley Joel Osment (The Kominsky Method), Heather Matarazzo (The Princess Diaries) and Joonas Suotamo (the Star Wars franchise). Fnally, recording artist Lady Gaga reportedly will appear in Season 2, in an undisclosed role.
The Addams Family offshoot will return this summer, with the first batch of episodes dropping Wednesday, Aug. 6, and the second following Wednesday, Sept. 3.

* The Young and the Restless star Allison Lanier announced on X that she is leaving the CBS soap, where she played Summer, the daughter of Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). Her final episode will air this Friday, May 2. "I've loved the journey and learned so much but it's time to grow in a different direction... very grateful for all of the Y&R fans who have supported me," Lanier wrote.
* Stephen Root (Barry) will guest-star on Resident Alien Season 4 as Harry's (Alan Tudyk) father, who appears to him in human form to "push Harry to go back to his evil alien roots," Variety reports.
* Rome Flynn (Godfather of Harlem, How to Get Away With Murder), Ana Ortiz (Devious Maids, Ugly Betty) and Sherri Saum (The Fosters) will recur in the Apple TV+ limited series Imperfect Women, starring Elisabeth Moss and Kerry Washington, per Deadline.
* Polish-American actress Lena Góra is replacing Rhona Mitra in the TNT miniseries Debriefing the President, playing a colleague of Joel Kinnaman's real-life CIA analyst John Nixon, per Deadline.
