The Flash Season 3: Jesse Will Return — But to What Reality? And With Powers?
Although The Flash Season 2 ended with “Harry” Wells and his daughter returned home to Earth-Two, we will see Jesse again this fall. Many questions, of course, surround the nature of her Season 3 incarnation.
In addition to TV dad Tom Cavanagh continuing on as a series regular for Season 3 (but as whom?), “I know I’ll be back,” Violett Beane told TVLine at this week’s Saturn Awards in Los Angeles. “But I don’t know if it’s with or without powers.”
After all, when a powered-down Barry last season attempted to recreate the “accident” that turned him into a speedster, the speed force wave that swept through S.T.A.R. Labs bowled over both Jesse and Wally — instantly sparking speculation that one or both of them were en route to meet their fleet-footed fate (as Jesse Quick and Kid Flash, respectively).
“When Jesse got hit, I was like ‘It’s happening! It’s happening!'” her portrayer effused. “There was the spark when she got out of the coma, but… it didn’t happen, and I was like, ‘No!’ I’m very excited [to play a speedster], and would love for it to happen early next season,” premiering Tuesday, Oct. 4.
Of course, the fact that the CW hit is tackling the comic books’ epic Flashpoint storyline — in which Barry’s saving of his mother’s life in the past spawns an alternate reality/future — means there are all kinds of ways we could see Jesse again, even though she is back on Earth-Two.
“With the whole Flashpoint, anything can happen, right? It’s literally open to any different kind of false reality,” Beane noted. “She could be Earth-One Jesse, she could be a speedster…. Who knows!” (With reporting by Vlada Gelman)

Super stoked. Jesse was one of my favorite characters.
The Flash continues to be pure, mind boggling entertainment. So glad Tom Cavanagh will be back… the show just wouldn’t be the same without some version of “Harry.”

Are they not bringing back Wally???? He needs to come back, he’s my favourite! They need to make him a regular.
He’s starting to grow on me but when he first showed up he was an obnoxious jackass. He’ll never replace Barry as the Flash, though. Ratings will drop like a rock. Barry and Iris ARE the Show!
I honestly have no idea what the Flash writers’ room has planned at this point after all the baffling metaphysical twists and turns, but more Jesse seems like a good thing. Let’s hope it all comes together nicely.
Glad to hear. She was, surprisingly, an entertaining character when she could have easily been annoying and superfluous. I love that with the introduction of the multiverse and with Flashpoint, t we can get multiple versions of every character and allow for the actors to keep things fresh

It could be Earth-1 Jesse since Earth-1 Harrison Wells is alive since Barry killed Eobard in the past.
Barry didn’t kill Eobard. He simply kicked his ass and made him unconscious
I’m so excited! I was so sad when Harry and Jesse left to Earth 2 so I’m really glad they’re gonna be back.
Please at least one season without another speedster…good or bad
Will the time-travel impact earth-two at all? Maybe since they’re different dimensions, she and Harry won’t be affected. Also, the main bad guy in flashpoint (spoilers) is Reverse Flash. I wonder if that’ll be Body Switched Wells or the regular Reverse Flash.

Jesse could be from Earth-1 in Season 3. With Barry stopping Eobard in the past, he wasnt around to kill Harrison Wells and steal his identity, the particle accelerator still blew up but a couple of years later than usual, she’ll likely get hit and turn into a speedster.
