Before CBS‘ NCIS: New Orleans wraps its seven-season run this spring, Special Agent Dwayne Pride will get a blast from his past when Callie Thorne puts in a final encore as the enigmatic Sasha Broussard, TVLine has learned exclusively.
Introduced in the Season 1 episode “Baitfish,” Sasha was initially seen as the “good one” in the New Orleans-based Broussard crime family. But over time and two more Season 1 appearances, it became clear she was to be reckoned with as well, as she proved to be a recurring thorn in Pride’s (played by Scott Bakula) side.
Though Sasha was thrown behind bars for her own crimes, in last season’s “A Changed Woman” she used important intel to strike a deal with a begrudging Pride, securing her early release.
Now, for her final act, TVLine can reveal that Sasha will come back to drop a bombshell that just might change the newly engaged Pride’s life, forever.
(To Inside Line reader Lee, who wrote me asking about a possible Sasha encore: Thank you… and you are welcome.)
Thorne’s TV credits include, of course, Rescue Me and Necessary Roughness (for which she earned a Golden Globe nomination), as well as The Mysteries of Laura, Law & Order: SVU and a recurring presence on Blue Bloods (as psychic Maggie Gibson). Most recently, she guested on the Feb. 22 episode of CBS’ Bull.
NCIS: New Orleans resumes its final-season run on Sunday, March 21.

I don’t remember her character, but Callie Thorne is a terrific actress. I look forward to her return, but she better not screw up Pride and Rita’s nuptials!
Love it! I agree
If we’re going to give a long list of her credentials, you can’t leave out Homicide: Life on the Street.
It will air on my brithday. When I turn 51. Wow. I will miss this show with all my heart. I even cried when I find out it was goin off air.
Such a lovely assortment of talent and locations, I’m with you on the missing it…sigh. TV Movie continuation time!
I will really miss NCIS LA. It was a great show. Big mistake.
Re: the closing line of the article, how will Madness (as in March) affect Thursday through Sunday/Monday CBS shows?
She’s his daughter or sister or something?
Sister.
What about wrapping up the daughter’s wedding storyline? Maybe Sasha is going to bomb that wedding?
I am going to miss NCIS New Orleans. It is actually my favorite of the group. Sorry to see them go.
I am sad the NCIS New Orleans is ending. I really enjoy the Show and the Characters. Why do all the good shows stop and stupid reality shows keep multiplying? Bring this show back please.
Devastated by the cancellation of this show. I was learning about New Orleans as I have never visited there I loved the Stars and just feel that CVS has made a grave error bye doing to NCIS what they have done. They have lost me as a consumer.
I agree, whoever’s making these decisions are only looking at…..who knows what they are looking at???
Exactly, the reality shows are a joke and waste of time!
Reality shows usually cost less to produce. Plus, for whatever reasons, more viewers in the target demo seem to be drawn to this thoughtless junk. I’m afraid there will be more of them than involving shows such as NCIS: New Orleans in our broadcast TV future.
Amen!
Our family will dearly miss NCIS New Orleans. We enjoyed the cast and plots every week. There are a lot of shows that could be cancelled and are not!
CBS has made a big mistake! Shame on you!
I wholeheartedly agree!
This show and it’s actors are far superior to most of the other method crime shows. The good ones always go first. We really wish you would reconsider this unfortunate decision.
Exactly, the reality shows are a the best
wow! has it been 7 years? where has time gone? now, will the flagship series ever end?
NCSI New Orleans is the best. It breaks my heart that it is being canceled. It is the only NCIS that l watch. Don’t like the other one at
all!!!!!!!!
I gotta think the writers are going to leave the series in a will they or won’t the get married
Sorry to see this s show go! Always enjoyed it more than NCISLA which is really struggling for strong stories!
Ncis new Orleans was the best. Hate to see it go. Really do. It was a great show.
