If Fox decides to bring back Lethal Weapon for a third season — and that’s a big if — it will be without co-lead Clayne Crawford. Multiple sources confirm to TVLine that Fox and its studio partner Warner Bros. are actively searching for an actor to replace the embattled actor in the role of Martin Riggs. The outcome of the 11th hour recasting effort will largely determine whether Fox renews the series for Season 3.
Reps for Fox and Warner Bros. declined to comment for this story. TVLine has also reached out to Crawford’s agent but we have yet to hear back. A source close to the show, meanwhile, maintains that a final decision has not been made.
Word of Crawford’s exit comes roughly two weeks after our sister site Deadline reported that the Rectify alum had “been disciplined several times over complaints of emotional abuse and creating a hostile environment” while shooting the Fox series. The situation allegedly worsened in recent months to the point where, per Deadline, Crawford’s co-lead, Damon Wayans, stopped talking to him.
Crawford later released a statement in which he detailed two incidents that led Warner Bros. to reprimand him — the latter of which occurred during production of Season 2’s 20th episode (which Crawford directed). An actor — allegedly Wayans — “felt unsafe because a piece of shrapnel from an effect hit him,” Crawford explained. “It was an unfortunate event that happened in spite of all precautions and procedures being followed. I take responsibility for the incident, because I was in charge of the set.” He concluded by issuing an apology to “all the crew and cast for any negative attention Lethal Weapon is receiving because of these incidents.”
Lethal Weapon‘s Season 2 finale airs tonight at at 8/7c on Fox.
Just cancel it then. No point in moving forward if you’re getting rid of the better of the 2 guys in my opinion anyway.
I resd what happened and I don’t get it. The guy apologized!
Clayne is the best part of the show!
No point in keeping it without him!
Yeah he apologised but there’s also been multiple accounts of erratic behaviour on his part. An apology won’t change that if the cast and crew morale is low. I’m not picking a side but I’m sure the network would want to do everything in it’s power to keep one of its costars who has a mass amount of popularity on the show.
I agree. I really liked them both . it wouldnt be the same.
I HOPE THE NETWORK KEEPS THAT IN MIND
So? All actors are nuts. 😁
Yes, all actors are nuts, so imagine how bad this guy has to be. I
True even if they come from my favorite satate of Alabama
Maybe he needs help…
SERIOUSLY? You got to know if he plays his part as well as he does, that’s him! Plain and simple.
So true…but so sad!
Sorry sweetheart but there is no Lethal Weapon without clay plain and simple
No Clayne then cancel show!
AMEN!!!!!!!!
WE HOPE SO.
His apology doesn’t match even slightly the things that are alleged to have happened. Don’t presume the apology is the whole truth.
Where did it differ so greatly?
Remember everyone comes at things from their own perspective. He’s not going to see it through the same lens as others because he’s not them and they’re not him.
Using that as a filter between statements, he did talk about the same things but sees them differently. Acknowledged that he was responsible for the injury. That he’d lost control of himself.
What didn’t match? Asking cause I’ve not gone out there looking for more of the story myself. Sounds like you have.
It’s pretty much exactly how you are describing. Just different views on what went down, Rashomon style. Whoever did the initial leak made it seem like he was an unhinged psycho. He made it seem like he was just an innocent stickler for safety. The truth is probably somewhere in the middle. But, harassment and workplace safety laws being what they are the studios hands are tied.
By him appoligizing doesn’t relieve him of what he’s done. But the show want be the same without him. Mandatory anger mangment may be the way to go. And a perfection my self o get madder at my self and when I don’t think thing are up to par and I give everyone around me problems. That’s from one nut to another.
Don’t presume the whole truth is the real truth either.
Couldn’t reply below. ..but what now. .. this NCIS drama. Strife? Didn’t hear anything about that.
So just end it they will never replace him love Wayand but Crawford has that Johnny Depp swagger and no one can fill his shoes.
There has to be more to it than a stunt didn’t go off as planned and an actor felt unsafe after the fact. Or that he had a problem with something and simply was passionate about it. There is more that no one is talking about.
Apologising doesn’t erase or undo anything, and it’s not necessarily a teacher. If someone was responsible for injuring you, and you needed medical attention, would you not ask them to pay for it because they apologised? Unlikely.
Yes!!! Wayans is not a good actor for this particular part. I’m really saddened by this rediculous Hollywood bs. It seems that no matter what a person does nowadays, there is no forgiveness- especially in Hollywood! Just a bunch of crap. I loved this show because, and ONLY because of this man and his acting. Storyline is always rediculous, Wayans acting was rediculous….. what I bummer!!!! Hollywood and these liberal dingbats that have it out for everyone can shove it!
Lmao! NOT WATCHING IT EITHER!
If you want to berate someone try to do so with literacy. The correct spelling is “ridiculous”.
I only watched because of Clayne also! He made show!!
your spelling is ridiculous
I agree with Jeanne. I will no longer be watching without Clayne Crawford in it. It’s a shame because I loved this show and the chemistry between all the actors. As far as I’m concerned, FOX may just as well scrap this show. They’ve already killed it by removing Clayne.
I agree I will no longer watch the show
I agree too, I’m not gonna watch without Clayne Crawford. This was one of my favorite shows, very funny!!!
Ture
I agree
I agree with you, Clayne is a great actor! There won’t be any show without Clayne.
So your preference would be that the entire cast and crew lose their jobs because Clayne was an a-hole?
That’s classy
I don’t see any reason why actors/actresses can’t remain peaceful and respectful of those around them. It’s not hard to keep doing your work in a professional manner At your job can you treat your co-workers unprofessionally? The staff, crew and production department shouldn’t have to tolerate inappropriate and unprofessional behavior. These actors get paid well. There is no excuse for it.
They think they are divas and the show can’t go on without them.
Unfortunately, that may be the case in this situation. The show may not be able to go on without Crawford. I think it will be very difficult, and in my opinion impossible, to replace Crawford and even if they do, it won’t be the same. I will definitely miss this show.
agree as while using footie/soccer, I remember the pure hate our two strikers at Manchester Untied the year we won the treble had for each, but always remain professional on the pitch
professional ??? which team were you watching they slagged each other off left right and centre on and off pitch
While I’m not disagreeing with you, actors have a unique aspect to their workplace – when they have to play a character, there’s generally some kind of character bleed, and when working long hours/intense scenes etc, it can often not be turned off entirely. TV is one of the biggest melting pots because of the hours, pressure and the not much time off during filming. Actors are also one of the high-risk groups for mental health issues because of the work stress, insecure work, and having to do lots of emotional/psychological work for their jobs.
Unfortunately, this hasn’t been recognised very much until recently so supports aren’t always in place. While it’s not hard in a white collar workplace, most white collar workplaces also have EAP programs in place, and functioning HR, which actors don’t necessarily get the benefit of. It’s not like they can take an hour out of a 14 hour work day to go see a counsellor, and then go back to set. There’s not an acting coach on set to talk people out of feeling their character’s crap after a tough scene. It’s not a matter of being paid – it’s a matter of the industry and the culture not taking into account the particular risks to actors from being on this kind of set, and the assistance not being there for issues to be managed and minimised from a very early point. There’s a reason so many actors turn to drugs or scammy-feeling wellness programs or cults.
Now, if all these supports were in place, and Clayne had not taken advantage of them, we could talk about professionalism, but in reality? He’s playing a character often described as “damaged”, for 14 hours a day, 6 hours a week, and was allowed extra responsibility through directing at the same time. He can be as reasonable about it as he likes, but on set, he’s always going to have some of that following him around, simply because of his character and the way scripted TV is filmed leaving him, and every other actor, little opportunity to take care of themselves and do the job at the same time.
Thank goodness a real professional can put this all in perspective! This is why both De Niro and Pacino are known as such complete a***oles. They just can’t possibly be expected to separate their work from their personal lives. You’ve just written complete nonsense.
to kalli’s post on May 9th. I agree totally and I had not even considered that. You are right about the “character bleed” Remember when Heath Ledger played the Joker in the Batman movie? It really affected him, it was said that he had gotten in so deep in the role and then he overdosed. Also I loved Criminal Minds and the original actor was Mandy Patinkin; he was great but he left the show b/c he said something about the role being so dark that he felt it was affecting him personally, so that’s 2 examples I can think of where there probably was the “character bleed” thanks for the insight. It’s a shame that the movie and TV producers don’t think like you do
It sucks that the crew will suffer the consequences. But that behavior should never be acceptable.
Well looks like he was killed tonight, so doesn’t matter now.
Well at least they have a job to complain about!
At least they have a job
There’s no reason they can’t recast the part. They were opening themselves to lawsuits from employees of the show for creating an unsafe work environment. No way legal was letting him back on the set.
So …..they have a hit show or HAD a hit show….they cant replace Crawford hes the show… now the show will be canceled ….cant they get over the obstacles to continue working. Choose your battles.
I’m not watching anymore. Was one of my favorite shows. Favorite because of Crawford. Really sucks.
Roger and Riggs were so great together, But Riggs was # 1, Fantastic!!!!
I can’t say that Crawford was the show but I will say the two together made it good team without one you can’t have the other they need to put the differences aside and keep the fans happy with the show going on hoping for season 3
They can’t recast the part because he is the reason most people watch the show to begin with, if I’m watching it because of him and he’s not there I’m not going to continue to watch,
Crawford was the main reason I watched the show, they made a good team, I probably won’t watch without him.
As someone who worked on the WB lot, I can tell you most of the crew left the show because of him. So…yeah. The guy is beyond nuts.
Thats what made him so good at his part. Crazy acting crazy. Will miss this show. But on a good note i did hear that Fox was bringing back Last Man Standing.
So it’s alright for him to be unprofessional towards his co-stars and guest stars and directors because it’s that kind of behavior that makes him good at his job?
Nope. It just goes towards explaining why. The industry could do a lot better at making workplaces safe for actors with character bleed, but they don’t, so this is what we get.
last man standing was horrible ! shame they are bringing it back!
Last Man Standing was not horrible! Probably the only decent damn sitcom that has been on TV in awhile….
That’s showbiz, sweetie. The cast and crew know what industry they’re in.
Lethal was a partnership between the TWO characters Riggs and Murtaugh you cannot have a show without either of them. Replacing him cancels the whole premise of the show. What sucks is Damon Wayans is an excellent comedy actor who is doing at BEST dad jokes that suck and being a dramatic character is a waste on him. They spent 2 seasons making us finally like the team up and suddenly they take it away will lose most of the fanbase.
Yep ! The show ONLY succeeded because of Crawford !!!
People lose their jobs all the time because people walked away from something. Boycotts, a product that doesn’t work as promised or falls on hard times (anyone remember Nokia phones?). CEOs act like assholes (Uber leaps to mind) or make promises they aren’t able to fulfill (Tesla is certainly having its time in the desert lately over that). Do you feel honor bound to purchase something from them so the folks who work there don’t lose their jobs? Those working in the entertainment industry are no strangers to how the gig economy works. Sometimes you have an SVU that lasts 20 seasons and everyone retires. Sometimes you end up with Firefly – critically acclaimed but doomed. Sometimes you end up on a pilot that never even makes it to series. It is the nature of the job. So appealing to the better nature of the viewers regarding the loss of jobs seems a bit silly to me. TV shows are a product that we consume. If we don’t like the product, or if the product isn’t working for whatever reason, expecting us to feel guilt for not consuming is rather unrealistic.
Kathryne:
I totally agree. I will no longer be watching the show. I am a consumer and I like the way it was, so I’m finding another show to watch in that time slot, or I may go to the gym that night
I couldn’t agree more…
Agreed!
Ditto
I could not agree more.. cancel the show now
So true
I think they made the perfect team. I’ve been a fan of Clayne Crawford since I saw the movie “The Perfect Host”(a must see movie). Being an original Lethal Weapon movie fan, I had my doubts about his playing Riggs but after I watched it, I was hooked. Crawford played the crazy got-nothing-to-live-for Texan/psyco cop so well I can’t imagine anyone else playing that part and we know he won’t be back after tonight’s finale. I hate to see the show end but hope to see more of Crawford in future movies and/or TV shows. I’m so disappointed to lose one of my most favorite TV shows.
Spot on. it was one of the shows my wife and I enjoyed watching together. We are 65. So not a lot out there that we both like. Sad to learn of this mess.
My husband and I enjoyed the show. It was one of our favorites. Clayne made the show. I really liked Riggs and Roger as a team. Roger was funny. We are very disappointed that Riggs won’t be back. We will not be watching the show next year, if it is back. We will really miss the show.
Not for sure what happened on set but what I’m hearing. But end of show I went straight to Google find out if Riggs was being let go. Its sad that some can’t control things. My husband and I watched the show, will be missed.
I agree.
I agree!!!!
Definitely agree !!!! Clayne is the funniest of the two and NO show without him
That’s right. Riggs makes it
I agree
I completely agree. Clayne Crawford definately makes the show what it is. Which is awesome. Dont get me wrong, Damon Wayans is a great actor but Fox could have cast someone better suited for the position. They’ll be making a huge mistake if they recast a new Riggs.
Weird this site won’t let me reply.
Ditto. I agree. He was awesome. Loved how he made it worth watching. Sorry he can’t work cooperatively. Would love to see him in more.
Totally agree!
Exactly what I was thinking aswell! Shows are never as good when its re casted with another character and it just pisses people off!
Exactly he is the show he makes the show forget about seen the shoe any more ratings should go down if he does not stay
I wont watch it again he made the series, it will fail now
Couldn’t agree more l!! They might as well can the show, Fox isn’t talented enough to keep this audience captivated for an hour.
ok well i won’t watch lethal weapon at all then. thanks fox..idiots
Don’t blame Fox — I’m sure they would have preferred this idiot behaved himself on set. Most actors do seem to manage it.
Why are they idiots for firing an abusive actor on set? Isn’t that the right thing to do if he has been given multiple warnings? Obviously whatever happened was serious enough with his behaviour to risk the cancellation of the show. If you don’t want to watch that’s fine but they shouldn’t employe an abusive person just because they are a good actor. What would be very unfortunate is if many people lost their jobs in a cancellation as a result of his stupid actions-which only he is to blame for (which he obviously did not share the whole truth about)
Idiots might be a bit harsh but, recasts never work. The studio looks foolish thinking that they would be able to get away with a recast when its only worked maybe a handful of times in the history of television. Just cancel the show. The ratings are decent but, not great. All a recast is going to do is tank the ratings.
It keeps people employed who may not have seen this coming.
What’s that got to do with the price of tea in China? The studios purpose is to make money not throw money away repeating an experiment that has failed repeatedly. It’s a money making venture, not a charity.
AMEN Nicole! Oh, but he’s the better of the two lead actors??? Give me a break! There’s definitely a more qualified actor that can take his place. His acting skills weren’t that great that the show should be cancelled because of him. I hope the shows returns for Season 3.
I won’t miss his hair….
Yeah right! What was up with that?
Lol I loved his hair. … his funky boots flapping when he’s running? That was always funny.
His hair is like Dr House’s cane. Practically a character of its own.
I love his hair,so maybe he’s nuts for real, makes his character that much more entertaining
You do not know what you talking about the channel fox is not telling what happen Claude c. Is a good actor
Sorry to say I didn’t like his acting or hair! It just didn’t do it for me, the show itself! He seemed like he was trying too hard to be “Nuttsie Riggs” than play the role his way.
Yeah . . . they tried this with Castle . . . didn’t take . . .
Its not even close to the same thing.
They cut Stana Katic because of budget cuts and there wasn’t going to be a replacement.
They cut Clayne Crawford because he was abusive on set and they plan on recasting the character.
In scenario A. ABC is ruining the show because of $$ in scenarios B. FOX is trying to save a show while looking out for the whole cast and crew
+100 TVLine Power User Points (no cash value)
Wasn’t there hostility between Stana and Nathan too?
That would explains why it seemed like their characters’ scenes together are shot as if the actors were talking to their counterpart body doubles (rarely in the same shot, thanks to filming magic).
The good wife tried that with Kalinda and Alicia. It was stupid. NCIS has not had a Gibbs/Abby scene together all season. Those scenes had a lot of charm in them. It’s a real shame that Harmon and Perrette couldn’t keep it professional. I’ve tried to hang in there. Losing Ziva and Tony sucked. Now Abby and most likely Reeves…. I won’t be watching next season. There’s no point.
I WISH THEY WOULD CAST CHARLIE HUNAM ( FROM SONS OF ANARCHY ) IN CRAWFORDS ROLL
omg how could you get rid of him. He is the Best. R u fricking kidding me. The Maddonna’s on the set are acting like babies. Get over your self’s cast and crew. You don’t know what verbal abuse is. Try working of r$18.00 a hour and working your ass off and can’t do nothing about it. You might as well cancel the entire season because after Clayne leaves I won’t support your show. BABIES, BABIES AND BABIES
Dude. You know production people are those regular folk. Not everyone involved in hollywood makes the millions. A lot of the people behind the scenes are regular people who make regular wages.
Very true!
And some ‘interns’ ‘helpers’ for free to learn the biz, at least that’s how it goes with films.
Telling other people what they should live, without actually being witness to it. I don’t think they need your support. I am sure that they didn’t decide without reason to fire him from a two man hit show.
The people you’re talking to are probably making less than $18/hr on very long days. Being part of a TV show crew is not a very glamorous job.
Exactly. … I’ve been recalling the days of the writer’s strike and thankful I lived within miles of the studios so got to add to the non stop horn honking outside the studios.
At least one of these sites was born out of that time. Internet is so different now.
The point, outside the industry, people only saw it as the rich out to get richer. Completely missed that the fight was on behalf of the majority who do not make big bucks at all but struggle to keep steady work to support themselves and family on.
That’s why all the other unions including the teamsters got behind the WGA.
Studios knew dang well they’d figure it out quickly how to make money off it.
Now, it’s all the shows made possible by the Internet via streaming that monopolize the award shows it feels like now.
The little guys won that war at least.
These sites, tvline, deadline etc.
I think it was this one though as its the only Hollywood news source I ever actively subscribed to. And would have been at that time.
Now I don’t pay attention at all except skimming headlines in their emails (tvline)
Stop your whining. Hundreds of people would kill to make 18.00/hour, myself included. It isn’t exactly something to sneer at. And it’s pretty hilarious that you think they should cancel the show just because you will no longer be viewing it. Talk about being a baby….
Really? So the crew who make a small fraction of what Crawford does are the “Madonnas?” The crew who has had to deal with his unprofessionalism and lose their jobs if Fox and WB decide to cancel the show? Wow.
This is so unfortunate because Crawford was a really good Riggs. But if this means the show can go on and the rest of the cast and crew can keep their jobs without feeling abused then I’m for it. I hope Crawford gets his act together because he really is good.
He really was. In fact, I really had no interest in checking out the show, but ended up watching it somehow and liking it because of him and his chemistry with Damon Wayans. Good luck to whoever they find to replace him – they’ve got big shoes to fill. I hope they’re able to find someone and make it work.
CHARLIE HUNAM FORMERLY OF “SONS OF ANARCHY” WOULD MAKE AN AWESOME RIGGS
I really liked this show
I don’t watch this show, but I feel badly for its fans. It is not fun when off-screen circumstances affect anyone’s enjoyment of a show.
Yikes, Fox is highly ignorant on this one. No one is going to watch this show without Clayne. Just cancel it because there is no way this show is going past a third season if it gets one. This show is about the Murtagh x Riggs dynamic that has already been established, it’s not going to be the same if you have another actor play the character of Riggs.
Fox & WB are saving themselves from a potential lawsuit/lawsuits for allowing a hostile work environment to continue if the allegations for this guy are true.
Also, why should hundreds of people who work for this show (cast, crew, writers) lose their jobs because one guy can’t keep his anger in check?
This isn’t a regular 9 to 5 job where the personnel is interchangeable. People tune in for specific actors or specific pairings. A show like SVU might allow you to plug in random actors as much as you’d like. But, this isn’t SVU. It’s a character driven show that was sold to the audience with these two specific leads. I’m not saying that somebody should accept a hostile work environment. I’m saying recasts never work and if the show gets renewed these people are going to lose their jobs midseason next year anyway when the show gets cancelled due to poor ratings.
Absolutely. Some people here are acting like this is comparable to that time when the barista at their local coffee shop was let go. The rest of the cast and crew will get work. No show is eternal. This particular one is already a dumpster fire and will be canned sooner or later.
I love this show, Lethal Weapon and really hope you renew it. Whatever issues you have with Crawford I hope gets worked out because I feel that the chemistry he has with Wayans makes the show and without Crawford it just won’t work. Please figure this out! Thank you so much
Yeah, that’s probably it for me also. The banter between Riggs and Murtaugh is going to be hard to duplicate. Unless the replacement is someone I really liked in other things I doubt I’ll watch. Kinda makes me not even want to watch the finale’.
It’s a shame. Maybe the studios need to hire around the clock therapists so everyone can go cry about their bad day.
Wow. So he creates a hostile work environment but since fans love him so much, the cast and crew should just deal with it? Lmao you guys are ridiculous.
It’s why Chris Brown still has girls who love him.
Really because why is that comparable?
I don’t think you can do this show without Riggs, and if they try to get someone else to play Riggs….I don’t think it’s going to work. I’m really upset about this.
i mean also this is the exact opposite of what happened with thomas gibson, with his on set incident, and all the cast wanted him back, because they all said that what the press was reporting was false and they all backed gibson, but he was ultimately written-off the show and there was speculation that gibson might be back for criminal minds last year, as just before they began shooting the latest season that writer left
No one in the cast publicly spoke out in support of Thomas Gibson when he was fired. No one in the cast refuted what was said in the press. Some said what happened (the firing, not the incident that led to it) was unfortunate and then said no more. It’s different with Crawford because some
of his cast members actually tweeted and posted on social media that they supported him especially after the episode he directed aired on tV.
None of them backed him at all. Don’t mistake not trashing him (which is unprofessional) for backing him. All any of them ever said was that the situation was unfortunate. That does not support him in the slightest.
Amen to that.
We’re allowed to be conflicted.
Because this isn’t where violent or serious assaults a LA #MeToo happened.
I don’t understand why ceelo green (it ain’t rape if she can’t remember it . .. tweeted then deleted pre Cosby revelation), Chris Brown, MIKE TYSON, William Hurt (raped Academy Award Winner Marlee Matlin), and all the ones outed in the past couple years that still have careers when the truly repented don’t. I mean if you want to forgive anyone enough to let them have a second chance. … people have been speaking up about a comedian.
As a child prey myself to 2 predators and simply as a woman, casually grabbed by strangers on the street… I believe his confession and acknowledgement to be sincere and that he will definitely never do it or anything like it again.
Sarah Silverman nailed it on the head right after it came out. (I’m in shock and reserve the right to process this because I just found out my friend did this ~ definite paraphrase)
I’m just thankful that Clayne’s bad behavior was about anger mgmt failure on his part. Something he’s owned.
That to me is important in this age where very very very few people have decent enough character to own their transgressions and not pretend they’ve no fault or culpability at all.
Really? How can you tell if his apology was sincere? They are actors, they are good at acting apologetic. Furthermore, the people that still have careers did so after some time. I’m sure this guy will get a job again.
Good gravy lady, counseling? We’re talking about a bad attitude not predator behavior. This situation is not criminal and he apologized, you think they could at least try and make it work and give him the chance to show he can do better.
I agree with you
What a shame. I really loved his character on the show. He brought so much life & energy to his part.
Haven’t enjoyed aTV show so much in ages. Never heard of this Clayne Crawford before, but just loved watching him act. Will be so sad if the show is cancelled and he is gone.
Continue the series with a new partner, doesn’t have to be named Riggs. The rest of the cast is to good to be let go.
Continue the series with a new partner, doesn’t have to be named Riggs. The rest of the cast is to good to be let go.
Except the Riggs backstory has been an integral part of the show. They lose “Riggs”, they lose a big chunk of their storyline. Unfortunate if the firing is true.
Personally good for the cast if the crew member was being diffcult to work with. I’ve seen it happen many times in the past Criminal Minds had a similar incident which the guy who played Hotch assaulted a crew member but weather or not the show can work without Crawford is to be seen assuming Fox decided to make the choice of renewing it.
Think I’m with others in that I’d say that’s me out. The whole appeal of the show is the chemistry that the two lead characters have. I also don’t think the ratings are high enough for it to pull off a casting change. That said, surely more people would be more accepting of the change and give it a chance if it was a new character coming into it rather than recasting Riggs as Crawford’s made that role his own
I agree. They can get a new par tner and not know that he is sicker than Riggs.
He was easily the best part of the show, but I’ll see who they replace him with before making a judgement on whether or not to keep watching.
I love this show, and have absolutely loved the performance of Crawford. But if he’s got so many issues that he can’t get along with the cast, I can understand the show having to do something. I hope they can get a good replacement (not a female, as was suggested a few weeks ago when this became public, not interested in that) and I will reserve judgment until I see what they come up with.
OMg this is the worst!
He’s so on point for this show!!! Honestly you can’t recast him!!!
I won’t be watching any more. You can’t just “replace” him.
I hope they get a good side kick that is still on the edge. Love the show
I don’t know if they I’ve never seen a character quite like Riggs, I don’t even like cop shows, never have, & this is one of my favorites because of him, they can’t recast him & a new character will just reduce this show to just another same old thing as all of the rest of the 900 million cop shows on TV, it’s a shame really, loved this show, but if he goes it will go too, what l am looking forward to is seeing him in his next venture, maybe he can get a grip on the behavior issues so it’ll last longer, regardless he has become one of the few actors that I will watch a show just because he’s in it.
Crawford as Riggs and his interactions with the cast is what makes this show worth watching. Season 3 won’t be the same, many won’t be watching, I won’t be. Fox blew it big time.
Is Ted McGinley available?
Omg…. #WIN!!
The charges were serious but I appreciated Clayne’s public statement. Rang authentic because it wasn’t perfect.
I say I don’t know enough between that and the reports, vague as they are.
I will say that the chemistry of Wayans and Crawford is what makes the show because it mirrors well the one from the movies.
But if it’s hostile when camera isn’t working. .. not worth it.
McGinley though. …. that was amazeballs.
Wonder if this will give ideas to the producers of another police drama?
