Casting News: CCH Pounder Joins Cape Fear, Paradise Adds Gossip Girl Vet And More
CCH Pounder is the latest familiar face making plans to visit Cape Fear: The NCIS: New Orleans veteran has joined the cast of Apple TV+'s upcoming adaptation, our sister site Variety reports. Details on her role have not been released.
Javier Bardem, Amy Adams and Patrick Wilson are already set to star in the 10-episode series. "In Cape Fear, a storm is coming for happily married attorneys Anna (Adams) and Tom Bowden (Wilson) when Max Cady (Bardem), a notorious killer from their past, gets out of prison," according to the official synopsis.
Cape Fear originated as a 1962 film starring Gregory Peck and Robert Mitchum, based on the novel The Executioners, and was remade in 1991 by director Martin Scorsese, with Robert De Niro, Nick Nolte, Jessica Lange and Juliette Lewis in the cast.
In addition to NCIS: New Orleans, Pounder is known for her roles on shows like The Shield, Sons of Anarchy, ER and Warehouse 13.
