Casting News: Yvonne Strahovski Joins Bad Monkey, Doja Cat To Co-Host Tonight Show And More

Praise be: Yvonne Strahovski has lined up her first TV role after wrapping up The Handmaid's Tale, joining the Season 2 cast of Apple TV+'s Bad Monkey as a series regular, Deadline reports.

Strahovski will play an attorney in Season 2, which will feature an all-new story after the freshman season was based on the Carl Hiaasen novel of the same name. Vince Vaughn stars as wise-ass detective Andrew Yancy, who investigated a wild case of murder and mayhem in the Florida Keys in Season 1. He also said goodbye to love interest Rosa in the finale... which maybe opens the door for a pairing with Strahovski's character?

Additionally, newcomer Zavior Phillips has joined the Season 2 cast as Eddie, "a CPA investigating financial crimes," according to Variety. Apple TV+ renewed Bad Monkey for a second season in December.

Strahovski finished a six-season run earlier this year as wife Serena Joy on The Handmaid's Tale, a role that earned her two Emmy nominations for best supporting actress in a drama. She first broke out as super spy Sarah on NBC's Chuck; her other TV credits include Dexter and 24: Live Another Day.
