Lady Gaga Debuts 'The Dead Dance' At 2025 MTV VMAs — Watch And Grade It

Because no VMAs ceremony would be complete without a little Mayhem, Lady Gaga sprinkled some of her musical magic on Sunday's 2025 MTV Video Music Awards, performing two of her latest hits.

The first song, of course, was her smash hit "Abracadabra," which she followed with "The Dead Dance," a song she released in conjunction with the second season of Netflix's Wednesday. The dual performance was recorded during a Madison Square Garden stop on her current tour.

Watch Gaga's full VMAs performance below:

Gaga entered Sunday's ceremony with 12 nominations, more than any other artist this year. Her nods included Video of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Collaboration and Best Pop for "Die With a Smile," featuring Bruno Mars; Best Album for Mayhem; Best Direction, Best Art Direction, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Choreography and Best Visual Effects for "Abracadabra"; and another of the show's top prizes, Artist of the Year.

Gaga has a long, impressive history with the VMAs, beginning with her unforgettable debut performance of "Paparazzi" in 2009. (So much blood!) That same year, Gaga won the award for Best New Artist, the first of 18 total Moon Persons she's taken home in her career... that is, until this year. Other notable wins from previous VMAs include Video of the Year for "Bad Romance" in 2010, the now-defunct Best Female Video for "Born This Way" in 2011 and Artist of the Year in 2020.

In addition to Gaga, other high-profile performers at Sunday's VMAs include Alex Warren, Busta Rhymes, Conan Gray, Doja Cat, J Balvin, DJ Snake, Jelly Roll, Mariah Carey, Post Malone, Ricky Martin, Sabrina Carpenter, Sombr and Tate McRae. There's also a special tribute to the late Ozzy Osbourne, featuring performances by Steven Tyler, Joe Perry, Yungblud and Nuno Bettencourt.
