Harry Potter's family tree is growing.

HBO's "Harry Potter" series has added three to its cast, TVLine has learned, with Jasper Talbot ("Broadchurch") and Hannah Chinn ("The Conjuring: Last Rites") playing Harry's ill-fated parents James and Lily Potter. In addition, Harry Gilby ("The Last Kingdom") will play Ron's brother Charlie Weasley. Season 1, titled "Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone," will debut on HBO this Christmas.

Harry's parents James and Lily were killed when Harry was just a baby, leaving him to be raised by his Aunt Petunia and Uncle Vernon. James and Lily were played by Adrian Rawlins and Geraldine Somerville in the "Harry Potter" films. Charlie Weasley is a wizard who attended Hogwarts like his younger brother Ron, but he didn't appear in the "Harry Potter" films, aside from a family photo.

HBO's "Harry Potter" series stars Dominic McLaughlin as the titular boy wizard, with Alastair Stout and Arabella Stanton as his pals Ron and Hermione. The cast also includes John Lithgow as Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore, Paapa Essiedu as Potions professor Severus Snape, and Janet McTeer as Transfiguration professor Minerva McGonagall. "There is nothing special about Harry Potter — or so his Aunt Petunia tells him," according to the official Season 1 logline. "But when a mysterious letter of admission to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry arrives, it opens the door to a hidden world of magic, friendship and adventure. Yet behind Hogwarts' enchanted walls lie dark secrets. Harry must find the courage to prove himself against the darkest wizard of all."
