Save The Dates: Netflix's JonBenét Ramsey Drama, Emma Corrin In Pride And Prejudice, And More
The tragic death of JonBenét Ramsey is getting the Netflix treatment later this year.
The streamer's limited series "The Murder of JonBenét Ramsey," starring Melissa McCarthy and Clive Owen, will debut Thursday, December 10, TVLine has learned. Netflix has also released a first-look photo of McCarthy and Owen in character as JonBenét's parents Patsy and John Bennett Ramsey, which you can see above.
The series "centers on one of the most infamous unsolved murder cases in American history, and the devastating personal and public reckoning that followed the death of JonBenét Ramsey on Christmas night in 1996," per the official synopsis. The project was originally announced at Paramount+ in 2024, but moved to Netflix in July.
In addition to McCarthy and Owen, the cast includes Emily Mitchell as JonBenét Ramsey, Garrett Hedlund ("Tusla King") as Det. Steve Thomas, Alison Pill ("The Newsroom") as Det. Linda Arndt, Shea Whigham ("Death by Lightning") as Alex Hunter, Owen Teague ("Bloodline") as Shane Edwards, and Clifton Collins Jr. ("Lucky") as Det. Tom Trujillo. Richard LaGravenese ("Behind the Candelabra") serves as writer and showrunner.
