Slow Horses Renewed For Season 8 At Apple TV

"Slow Horses" has snagged another very early renewal: Apple TV has renewed the British spy series for Season 8, just one day before the premiere of Season 6, TVLine has learned.

Adapted from "Clown Town," the ninth book in Mick Herron's "Slough House" series, the six-episode Season 8 "sees Jackson Lamb (Gary Oldman) and Diana Taverner (Kristin Scott Thomas) face off in their most explosive confrontation yet," reads its official synopsis. "When a botched attempt to blackmail the Park puts Taverner on the offensive, it is up to Lamb to unravel one of MI5's darkest secrets and put an end to it once and for all."

The renewal comes one day after Saul Metzstein won Emmy gold for Outstanding Directing in a Drama Series for the Season 5 finale titled "Scars."

"'Slow Horses' continues to charm audiences all around the world and I'm delighted that Jackson Lamb and his gang of lovable misfits will be back for an eighth season," Apple TV's creative director of international Jay Hunt said in a statement. "Their acerbic take on the high-octane world of espionage is completely unique."

As previously mentioned, Season 6 of "Slow Horses" premieres on the streamer Wednesday, September 16; the show's Season 7 renewal was announced in July 2025.
