The Runarounds Canceled After One Season At Prime Video

The tour has officially ended for "The Runarounds": Prime Video has canceled the teen rock band drama after a single season, Deadline reports. (TVLine has reached out to Prime Video for confirmation.)

"The Runarounds" centered on the titular band, formed by a tight-knight group of high school graduates in Wilmington, North Carolina. "Over the course of one unforgettable summer, they throw themselves into the pursuit of their big break — falling in love, getting into trouble, and building the kind of bonds that feel like family along the way," per the official description.

Real-life musicians William Lipton, Axel Ellis, Jeremy Yun, Zendé Murdock, and Jesse Golliher starred as the titular band, with Lilah Pate as Sophia, the object of lead singer Charlie's affections. Jonas Pate ("Outer Banks") served as series creator.

"The Runarounds" debuted on Prime Video last September with a eight-episode freshman season. Were you hoping "The Runarounds" would return for an encore? Drop your thoughts on the cancellation news in a comment below.
