Critics Choice Awards: The Dropout, Abbott Elementary And Better Call Saul Are Among 2023 TV Winners
The Critics Choice Awards were once again handed out Sunday night during a three-hour ceremony hosted by Chelsea Handler. The show aired live from the Fairmont Century Plaza Hotel in Los Angeles at 7/6c on The CW.
Leading the TV pack in wins was the final season of Better Call Saul. The AMC drama took home three victories for Best Drama Series, in addition to Best Actor and Supporting Actor for Bob Odenkirk and Giancarlo Esposito, respectively.
On the comedy side of things, ABC's Abbott Elementary won trophies for two out of six of its nominations: Best Comedy Series and Best Supporting Actress for Sheryl Lee Ralph.
Tying Abbott with two wins was Hulu's The Dropout, which came out on top in the Best Limited Series category, in addition to Best Actress in a Limited Series for its lead Amanda Seyfried.
