SNL Video: Trump Calls Into 'Naughty' Morning Joe, Talks Obamacare Repeal

Alec Baldwin’s President Donald Trump was technically a no-show during this weekend’s Saturday Night Live, but “media spokesman” John Miller did manage to call into an extremely uncomfortable edition of Morning Joe.

In the cold open, newly engaged MSNBC co-hosts Joe Scarborough (Alex Moffat) and Mika Brzezinski (Kate McKinnon) could barely keep their hands (or their mouths!) off each other, as they argued about the House’s vote on the American Health Care Act. Contributors Mike Barnacle (Bobby Moynihan), Mark Halperin (Beck Bennett) and Willie Geist (Mikey Day) could all be seen cringing in their seats before Trump called in pretending to be a new White House hire.

“First, I want to wish everyone a happy Cinco de Mayo, which is when all Mexicans eat a sink full of mayonnaise,” Trump began. “I’m just celebrating the fantastic success we had and accomplished yesterday with the new healthcare law. After Congress voted, we had a party here. We had beer [to celebrate that] the disaster that was Obamacare has finally been defeated.”

“Hold on, sir,” Scarborough interrupted. “It’s not repealed yet. The bill still has to pass the Senate.”

“What now?” Trump asked, seemingly stunned that the work to repeal Obamacare was not yet done.

“The bill goes through the senate,” Scarborough continued. “They might even rewrite the entire thing if they pass it all.”

“But… there was beer,” Trump responded in a defeatist tone. “You know what? We’re going to look into this,” he concluded, before quickly hanging up.

And with the phone interview over, Scarborough and Brzezinski continued playing up the sexual tension between them until the bitter end.
