Is Danny Wheeler ready to rumble? (We sure hope so, because this match is happening either way.)
John Hennigan — better known to fans of the WWE by his former wrestling name, John Morrison — will guest-star in an episode of Baby Daddy‘s upcoming sixth season, TVLine has learned exclusively, playing Ryan “The Hatchet” Davidson, a hockey player-turned-professional wrestler who convinces Danny to join him in the ring to help promote his second-tier league.
(Side note: Hennigan now wrestles under the name Johnny Mundo on El Rey Network’s Lucha Underground.)
But as with all Baby Daddy shenanigans, there’s a catch: Danny has no idea that Ryan has a secret past… with his mom! In other words, the evening will be as dangerous as it will be awkward.
As you may recall, the Freeform comedy’s fifth season ended with the news of Riley’s pregnancy, a revelation Danny handled surprisingly well.
“I think, like any man, he’ll be a little bit of a wreck,” executive producer Dan Berendsen recently told TVLine. “But he was also the first person to tell Riley he’d be there for her and the baby [when he thought she was pregnant earlier in the season]. You can tell what kind of a father he’s going to be. Danny lives up to this responsibilities.”
