Supergirl is shooting us, if not “Blue Steel,” Girl of Steel, in the first poster touting her arrival on The CW.
Premiering Monday, Oct. 10 at 8/7c, Season 2 of the superhero drama finds Kara (played by Melissa Benoist) meeting the passenger (Vampire Diaries‘ Chris Wood) of the Kryptonian ship that crash-landed on Earth, enjoying some hang time with her cousin Kal-El aka Superman (Teen Wolf‘s Tyler Hoechlin), contending with a cantankerous Lena Luthor (Merlin‘s Katie McGrath) and dealing with a new boss at CatCo (Cougar Town‘s Ian Gomez).

If Season 1 was about Kara learning to be a hero, “Season 2 is definitely learning about how to integrate both parts of her life into one,” showrunner Andrew Kreisberg told TVLine as part of our Fall Preview Q&A, “and she gets a little lesson in that from Superman.
“She’s always felt like Clark makes everything look so easy — he’s effortlessly Superman, and he’s effortlessly a great boyfriend, and effortlessly a great reporter,” the EP continues, “and one of the things he admits to her is that none of this easy. That ‘I’m making it up as I go, and some days are better than others.'”
