Naomi Watts has met her match in Billy Crudup.
Crudup (Watchmen) will star opposite Watts in Netflix’s 10-episode drama Gypsy, per The Hollywood Reporter. Premiering in 2017, Gypsy follows Jean Holloway (Watts), a therapist who develops intimate, troublesome relationships with the people closest to her patients.
Crudup will star as Jean’s husband Michael, who “navigates their twisted and complicated marriage as well as his own morally gray relationships.”

* Sam Page (Mad Men, Switched at Birth) has joined Freeform’s Issues pilot as a series regular, Deadline reports. The potential drama series follows three young career-driven women working at Scarlet magazine; Page will play Richard, a member of Scarlet‘s board of directors.
* Madeline Brewer (Hemlock Grove) has joined the cast of Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale, per The Hollywood Reporter. The 10-episode series, starring Mad Men‘s Elisabeth Moss, takes place in a dystopian world where women are treated as property of the state; Brewer will play Janine, a friend of Moss’ character who begins to lose her grip on reality following a brutal punishment.
