Matt LeBlanc will now be saying Yes, Dear to Liza Snyder.
The CBS sitcom vet will be taking over the role of LeBlanc’s wife in the network’s new fall comedy Man With a Plan, TVLine has learned. Snyder — best known for her six seasons on Yes, Dear — replaces The Office‘s Jenna Fischer, who exited the project shortly after it was ordered to series in May.
Snyder’s character, Andi, is Adam’s (LeBlanc) self-assured wife who returns to the workforce after being a stay-at-home mom for 13 years, while Adam agrees to take on more parenting responsibilities.
Explaining the decision to replace Fischer, CBS president Glenn Geller said back in May, “[She] is a phenomenal actress, but it just wasn’t the actress for the right role, ultimately, when we saw the pilot. We think we can do better in terms of the chemistry between the two.”
Man With a Plan premieres Monday, Oct. 24 at 8:30/7:30c.
