DC's Legends of Tomorrow Season 2 Adds Nick Zano in Steel-y Hero Role

Nick Zano has always looked a little like a superhero — now it seems as though he’s going to play one on TV.

The Minority Report/One Big Happy star is joining Season 2 of  DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in the series-regular role of Dr. Nate Heywood, according to our sister site Deadline.

Heywood is “a historian whose grandfather was Commander Steel, a member of the Justice Society of America,” according to Deadline.

DC lore finds Nate assuming the mantle of the heroic figure Citizen Steel, though it’s unclear if that’s the direction Zano’s character will take. (But seriously, do we really envision Zano doing the Justice Society’s bookkeeping?)

Last week, Legends producers revealed that female hero Vixen will also be a series-regular character in the show’s sophomore season, though she won’t be played by Megalyn E.K., who portrayed the character on Arrow.

  5. "A" says:

Loved Nick Zano on “2 Broke Girls” as Johnny !

  6. Joey Padron says:

Goods choice on playing the character. Can’t wait to find out the other new heroes will be in new season!

    • "A" says:

      We already know.

A older version of Vixen from the 1940”s … likely her great grandmother Jiwe or warrior Tantu herself.

      Rex Tyler aka Hour man

Nathan “Buckeye” Heywood aka Citizen Steel

  7. Christopher says:

Man I really wish they would add some interesting super heroes to this show. There are so many characters in the DC Universe to tap. It’s an outrage that the films (I guess) are keeping Blue Beetle and Booster Gold out of the TV verse. I hope Martian Manhunter can jump around to the different shows now that Supergirl is on CW. Give us Guy Gardner! Animal Man! Swamp Thing! Bring back Constantine! Etrigan! Zatana! Ralph and Sue Dibny! Freaking Nightwing!

  8. Jared says:

I’ll watch Nick Zano in pretty much anything he’s in and Legends is the perfect show for him. Good job CW!

  9. jenna says:

personally i’m a bit underwhelmed by this casting choice, I’m not a fan of his acting

  10. JC1 says:

I’ve never seen him in anything. I just really hope it doesn’t turn out as badly as Falk Hentschel and Casper Crump last season. :(

  11. Just was to know, since it’s this type of show has Snart died or not? Plus if these people are added to play bad guys ok.Otherwise not enough involvement with the Legends as is
