Ratings: Castle Steady as NCAA Championship Game Draws 18 Million

Castle Season 8 Ratings Cancelled Renewed

Bubble drama Castle‘s excellent, Espo-centric hour this Monday drew 6.4 million total viewers and a 1.1 demo rating (per finals), on par with last week while facing a nailbiter NCAA Championship game that amassed nearly 18 million viewers across TNT, TBS and truTV (down 37 percent from 2015).

Note: Prior to adjustment due to DWTS overrun/MLB preemptions, Castle had been eyeing Season 8 highs.

Opening ABC’s lineup, Dancing With the Stars did 11.7 mil and a 1.7, steady week-to-week.

The night’s only other fresh broadcast fare, The Voice (10.4 mil/2.5) slipped to Monday lows for this cycle, while Blindspot (5.5 mil/1.3) slipped 8 and 19 percent to series lows.

Because someone may wonder: CBS’ pair of Big Bang reruns did 6.7 mil/1.4 and 7.1 mil/1.6, compared to Supergirl‘s most recent 7.2 mil/1.7.
