Ratings: American Crime Ticks Up With Divisive Season 2 Finale

Leading out of a buncha sitcom reruns, the Season 2 finale of ABC’s American Crime on Wednesday drew 3.7 million total viewers and a 0.9 rating, rising 16 percent and a tenth week-to-week, commanding its best audience since Feb. 3.

Versus its freshman finale, the anthology series was down 12 percent and a tenth. All told, Season 2 averaged 3.7 mil/0.9 versus Season 1’s 5 mil/1.2.

TVLine readers gave the sophomore finale an average grade of “B-,” while Season 2 as a whole averaged an “A-.”

Elsewhere in the ratings:

FOX | Rosewood (3.8 mil/0.9) added a few eyeballs while steady in the demo. Hell’s Kitchen (3.7 mil/1.2) ticked up in both measures.

NBC | Leading out of a Voice clip show, a preview of The Carmichael Show did 4.2 mil and a 1.1, up in the demo from both its micro-Season 1 average (4.3 mil/1.0) and its freshman finale (4.2 mil/1.0). The sophomore sitcom now moves to Sundays at 9 pm.

CBS | Survivor (9.2 mil/2.1) dipped a tenth, the Victoria’s Secret swimsuit thing (3 mil/0.7) did a fraction of the most recent fashion show special (6.6 mil/2.3), and CSI: Cyber (6 mil/1.0) dipped 9 percent and two tenths from its previous Wednesday outing.
