Jane Doe’s past might be a little fuzzy, but her future is very clear: NBC has picked up the back nine episodes of Blindspot, making it the first 2015-16 freshman series to land a full-season order.
The pickup comes two weeks after the Peacock Net ordered nine additional Blindspot scripts, and three weeks after the show’s highly rated debut.
The drama — which stars Jaimie Alexander as an amnesiac whose mysterious tattoos help the FBI track down criminals — pulled in 10.6 million total viewers and a 3.1 rating in the demo with its series premiere, giving NBC its best rating in the time slot since The Blacklist‘s year-ago opener.
In the weeks since, Blindspot has averaged 9.6 million total viewers and a 2.7 demo rating in live-plus-same-day results.
Blindspot airs Mondays at 10/9c on NBC. Hit the comments with your thoughts on the full-season pick-up.
