Game of Thrones' Maisie Williams Dashes Jon Snow Hopes, Teases Arya's Sightless Season 6 Plight

Though we’ll be seeing Maisie Williams‘ Arya when Game of Thrones returns next year, Arya herself won’t be seeing much of anything.

At least, that’s how we interpreted the tease the actress offered up when she chatted with TVLine’s Michael Ausiello on Sunday.

“Arya may be fighting blind,” she said on the Emmys red carpet, not long after shutting down any hopes we you might have that her on-screen sibling Jon Snow survived his end-of-season stabbing.

“He’s dead. Sorry,” she added. “And the interview you’ve all read that thinks that Kit [Harington] spoiled it is fabricated.”

Williams also weighed in on her Doctor Who character and on how shooting the long-running sci-fi series compares to life on the HBO drama. Press PLAY on the video above to hear it all.

For the 9 billionth time, no one is contesting that Jon Snow died. The question is whether he is coming back from the dead. That’s why the answer has consistently been ‘Jon Snow is dead.’
That’s the truth without spoiling if he’s coming back from the dead or not. So the article she’s referencing doesn’t even matter either, because it didn’t say that Jon Snow is not dead, did it?

    • Isobel says:

Agree it doesn’t mean he won’t be resurrected just because he is dead, Melisandre’s entrance leaves the possibility and there isn’t really anyone else who is focused on defeating the white walkers

    Love her.

GoT fans are still complaining about the whole “is Jon Snow coming back from the dead or not?” crap and Arya Stark goes blind? Season 6 is going to be mind blowing.

Maisie has been quite annoying about Jon/Kit. It’s sad! :(

Jon Snow will be back. Too much information has leaked from fan sites about him being in Belfast then on set and then filming a major battle scene! There is too much confirmation for all of it to be fabricated. Another thing, why waste the time and energy to answer the Jon Snow parentage mystery if he is dead? If he is never going to be on the show again what does it matter? Their is no point in showing the Tower of Joy or what happened it is irrelevant. R+L= some dead guy. It only makes sense if Jon Snow’s character is going to continue to be a part of the show.

Do I think jON SNOW is dead yes he died. But I think in the after life is where he will find out who he is. Remember right before he went to the wall Ned stark said the next time we meet we will talk about your mother. Yes I think Jon snow is dead but the question is will he come back as Jon stark or Jon targary

I find it interesting how she loves blatantly spouting that information. I think it’s the third time I’ve heard it from her. You would think GoT PTB would tell her to shut it. I haven’t seen every cast interview but I don’t believe anyone else is opening chatting about it. Sure Jon Snow is dead, but Jon Snow is not.

She seems like a bitch. I like her character though.
