After five years in the CIA’s Domestic Protection Division, Christopher Gorham‘s next gig should be a piece of cake.
The Covert Affairs vet will guest-star on Heartbreaker, NBC’s midseason medical drama about Dr. Alex Panttiere (Melissa George), an outspoken and world-renowned heart transplant surgeon.
According to EW.com, Gorham will appear in two episodes as Wyatt Penn, a financial hedge fund wiz-turned-sculptural artist. A tortured soul who ran from his past, Wyatt comes from a wealthy background, and his mother is an influential member of the hospital’s board of directors.
Aside from his five seasons as Covert Affairs‘ Auggie Anderson, Gorham’s TV credits include Once Upon a Time, Ugly Betty and Harper’s Island.

* WGN America’s upcoming historical drama Underground — which centers on a group of slaves who plan their escape from a Georgia plantation — will appear at New York Comic-Con, the network announced Monday. Following a first-look screening, the panel — taking place Sunday, Oct. 11, at 2:45 pm in Room 1A06 at the Javits Center — will feature stars Jurnee Smollett-Bell (Friday Night Lights), Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton), Alano Miller (Jane the Virgin) and creators Misha Green and Joe Pokaski.
* Ray Donovan actor Dash Mihok will guest-star on the third episode of Chicago P.D.‘s third season, playing a panicked father who resorts to desperate measures when his daughter goes missing, per EW.com.
* VH1 has renewed Dating Naked for a third season, ahead of the show’s Sept. 16 finale.
* Ben Wexler (Arrested Development, The Comedians) has taken over as showrunner of Fox’s upcoming comedy The Grinder, he announced on Twitter Sunday. He replaces Greg Malins, who stepped down due to creative differences.
