American Crime has added another new face to its Season 2 cast: Falling Skies actor Connor Jessup has joined the ABC anthology drama in a series-regular role, TVLine has learned.
Per series creator John Ridley, Jessup will play Connor Blaine, “a young man at the center of accusations that roil two high schools along socio-economic lines.”
Newcomer Angelique Rivera has also been cast as a series regular, playing Evy Dominguez, the sole witness to a crime whose testimony could alter the lives of several young men who stand accused.
Season 2 of the series will take place in the Midwest, where an incident at the aforementioned high schools sparks conversations of “gender issues, sexual orientation and sexual identity,” Ridley told TVLine.
Jessup and Rivera join a cast that includes Felicity Huffman, Timothy Hutton, Regina King, Richard Cabral, Elvis Nolasco and Lili Taylor — all of whom appeared in Season 1 — as well as fellow newbie Joey Pollari (The Inbetweeners).
