The actor (One Big Happy, Happy Endings, 2 Broke Girls) has joined the cast of the upcoming Fox drama as Pre-cog Arthur, our sister site Deadline reports.
The series picks up 10 years after the end of Pre-crime in Washington, D.C., where one of the three Pre-cogs, Dash (played by NYC 22′s Stark Sands), struggles to lead a “normal” human life, haunted as he is by visions of the future. But then Dash meets a detective (Deception‘s Meagan Good) who just may help him find a purpose in his gift.
Dash and Arthur were identical twins in the 2002 film, and the Fox pilot had planned to have Sands portray both roles. However, the characters will now be fraternal twins with distinctly different personalities.
Arthur is described as confident, self-assured and having a hard shell due to years of difficult experience in the outside world his brother avoided. While Dash selflessly and heroically tries to stop the future murders he sees in his precognitive visions, the Machiavellian Arthur, however, uses his gift to consolidate personal wealth and power in the building of an empire.
Minority Report premieres Monday, Sept. 21, at 9/8c.
