Sarah Jane Morris has booked a potentially recurring role on TNT’s Murder in the First, TVLine has learned.
As previously reported, Murder in the First — which stars Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson — for Season 2 has added series regulars A.J. Buckley (CSI: NY) and Emmanuelle Chriqui (Entourage), as San Francisco PD officer Marty “Junior” McCormack (brother of Robertson’s Hildy) and Gang Task Force member Lara Cruz, respectively.
NCIS and Brothers & Sisters alum Morris will play Junior’s wife, Mary. (Yes, the character’s name is Mary McCormack. No sign of Fred Weller, though.)
Morris’ casting comes on the heels of her wrapping a juicy multi-episode arc on NBC’s The Night Shift, where starting Monday she will play TC’s secret-keeping sister-in-law. Her previous TV credits also include episodes of Hawaii Five-0, Criminal Minds, Body of Proof and Castle.
