Ready for more of today’s newsy nuggets? Well…

* The Carrie Diaries alum Matt Letscher will star opposite Jenna Elfman in Fox’s untitled Dana Klein comedy pilot, our sister site Deadline reports. The actor will play the ethics professor husband of Elfman’s character.

* Annie Potts (The Fosters, GCB) has been cast in ABC’s multi-cam comedy pilot Family Fortune, based on comedienne Fortune Feimster’s life and executive-produced by 30 Rock‘s Matt Hubbard, Tina Fey and Robert Carlock, per Deadline. In the project, about a popular gym teacher (Feimster) who comes out of the closet to her family and friends, Potts co-stars as her fun-loving, needy and sometimes egoistical mother.

* Syfy will marathon the previously aired episodes of Helix Season 2, followed by five hours of 12 Monkeys, on Monday, Feb. 16, starting at 9 am.

* The CW has released new keyart for the premiere of iZombie. Take a look below, then let us know if you’ll be checking these brains out on March 17.

  1. Wordsmith says:

I am totally on board for iZombie, but those weird TV spots are really doing it no favors. They are semi-nonsensical and tonally unclear.

    • Jared says:

Your so right! I plan on watching iZombie regardless(or atleast the first couple episodes to see if I like it) but the tv spots The CW is airing are weird and don’t seem to tell anything at all about the series. Judging by the commercials you would think this show would be a comedy.

    • meatwad says:

i agree with you. if all the info i had on this show was based off of the teasers i wouldn’t waste time watching

    • murley says:

I totally agree. I have been so looking forward to this show and Rob Thomas has a flawless track record as far as I am concerned but the promos have been so weird and disjointed. I keep thinking “you are attracting no one to this show!” every time I see one.

  2. Tran says:

I’m really freaked out from that iZombie poster.

  3. A poster like that is missing a proper credit for the comic book creators whose work the show is based on, like “based on the comic by so and so” below the credit at the top of the poster.

    • Simon Jester says:

The people who read the comics already know about the TV adaptation. The purpose of key art is not to give credit, but to attract viewers.

  4. Joey Padron says:

iZombie poster looks good. Looking forward to check out the show.
