Brooklyn Nine-Nine is really Raising the stakes with its latest casting.

Garret Dillahunt, who starred for four seasons on Fox’s Raising Hope, is returning to the network for an upcoming episode of its sophomore comedy, per The Hollywood Reporter.

He will play one of the NYPD’s best detectives — and a potential love interest for Amy — whom the precinct tries to impress.

Dillahunt currently recurs on the final season of Justified.

* James Cromwell (American Horror Story) has been tapped for a recurring role on Season 2 of Halt and Catch Fire, our sister site Deadline reports. He’ll play Jacob Wheeler, a Texas millionaire and energy company CEO who clashes with Lee Pace’s Joe MacMillan as he tries to expand his corporate reach.

* Cristela leading lady/real-life General Hospital superfan Cristela Alonzo will guest-star on the soap opera’s Feb. 13 Valentine’s Day episode. She’s shaking things up as Assistant District Attorney Natalia Rodriguez, who has some questions for Nathan West about a break-in.

* Onetime Disney starlet Bella Thorne (Shake It Up!) will star in the upcoming Lifetime movie Perfect High, TheWrap reports, as a high school dancer who falls in with a bad crowd after a knee injury gets her hooked on prescription painkillers.
