* Former Desperate Housewives star Huffman is returning to ABC in the drama pilot American Crime, the potential series about a racially charged murder and the high-profile trial that follows. Huffman will play Barb Skokie, the mother of the victim and the ex-wife of recovering gambling addict Russ (Timothy Hutton).

* Corbett, who recently made a brief return to Parenthood, has joined FX’s comedy pilot Sex&Drugs&Rock&Roll opposite Dennis Leary. The potential series follows Johnny Rock (Leary) and Flash (Corbett), both huge rock stars — and substance abusers — in the ’90s, who reunite after 25 years when Johnny tries to get the band back together. This also marks Corbett’s return to FX, where he starred in the 2003 comedy series Lucky.

* Josh Sussman, known to Glee fans as gossip monger Jacob Ben Israel, has boarded ABC’s comedy pilot The Winklers, based on Henry Winkler’s real-life relationship with his son-in-law. Sussman has been cast as Winkler’s son Jonah, who often finds himself back at home, despite having an apartment of his own.

* Novakokvic, currently starring on Fox’s Rake, has landed the title role in ABC’s drama pilot Agatha, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The potential procedural follows Agatha, a criminal-turned-criminologist, who returns home to Philadelphia to help solve the disappearance of a local girl. She also reunites with her detective father, with whom she hasn’t spoken in 15 years. This role is in second position to Rake, should Fox choose to renew the struggling series for a second season.
