James Avery Death Will SmithWill Smith took to Facebook Monday to pay tribute to his late Fresh Prince of Bel Air co-star James Avery.

“Some of my greatest lessons in Acting, Living and being a respectable human being came through James Avery,” Smith wrote. “Every young man needs an Uncle Phil. Rest in Peace.”

Avery died last week  at the age of 68 following complications from open heart surgery.
