Exclusive First Look: Jesse Spencer on Phineas and Ferb = Not a G'Day for Perry

JesseSpencerPerry the Platypus will meet his match when Jesse Spencer lends his voice to a special episode of Phineas and Ferb, and TVLine has an exclusive first look at the Chicago Fireman’s animated alter ego.

In the episode “Primal Perry,” airing Saturday, March 2 — aka National Platypus Day — at 8 am EST on (take note) Disney XD, the Melbourne-born Spencer voices Liam, an Australian platypus hunter who is out to destroy the show’s resident semi-aquatic egg-laying mammal of action. Check out Liam here (Hey, where’s Perry’s hat? He stole it!), then read on for more:

Somehow, Perry aka Agent P must escape this Aussie adversary, rescue ongoing foe Dr. Doofenshmirtz from the error of his ways and maintain the sanctity of the Danville Botanical Gardens. (Meanwhile, Phineas and Ferb create an “infinite probability generator” that allows Baljeet to make as many choices as he pleases without being affected by the consequences. Meaning, that’s what they’re going to do today.)

Spencer’s previous voice work includes Triton Jr. on the animated Hercules, while his other on-camera credits of course include House, plus Australia’s Neighbours.

“Primal Perry” kicks off a five-hour Disney XD marathon that caps a month-long event (get more details at TV Guide Magazine) leading up to the third annual Disney Channel-created Platypus Day.
