The Orioles (Tillman, 13-6) host the Tigers (Scherzer, 18-5) in their Game 1, followed at 9 pm by the Angels (Weaver, 18-9) hosting the Royals (Vargas, 11-10).
The Vampire Diaries
Season 6 premiere: Elena returns to school after four months of possibly dangerous mourning. Caroline struggles to reverse the spell placed on Mystic Falls and Alaric is placed in an awkward situation when he meets Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe, Prison Break), a doctor at the university hospital. Maggie tries to make a good impression at the hospital, but winds up in unfortunate situations. Meanwhile, Richard continues to keep his secret.
Dwight wants to end Mara’s troubles, while Nathan thinks that Audrey is still in there somewhere.
Series premiere: David Tennant (Doctor Who) and Anna Gunn (Breaking Bad) lead this remake of UK’s Broadchurch (on which Tennant played an identical role). The premise: Following the murder of a young boy, newly relocated Detective Emmett Carver must team up with local Detective Ellie Miller to solve the case.
Season 2 premiere: The Black Plague puts France under quarantine, leaving Francis and Lola on the opposite side of the safety barriers while Mary is pressured by her new role as Queen. Meanwhile, Kenna and Bash are separated and Greer has to see Leith move on to a surprising new interest.
Cyrus seeks out an influential power couple (In Plain Sight‘s Mary McCormack and Ed‘s Josh Randall) for Fitz’s State of the Union address, while Mellie’s personal life gets national attention.
Series premiere: Rebecca Wright (Kate Walsh, Grey’s Anatomy/Private Practice) is a well-respected L.A. judge who balances her unique court rulings with a hard-partying lifestyle.
A to Z
Series premiere: Follow the love story of Andrew (Ben Feldman, Mad Men) and Zelda (Cristin Milioti, How I Met Your Mother) as they meet (again?) by chance, in this rom-com narrated by Katey Sagal (Sons of Anarchy). (Read our Q&A with Milioti.)
How to Get Away With Murder
Annalise challenges her students to prove the innocence of a millionaire (guest star Steven Weber, Wings) who is suspected of killing his wife. At home, Annalise is concerned that her husband has something to do with a campus murder.
Kristina tries to meet every student’s needs while Adam has to figure out what to do when the school’s only lunch vendor suddenly quits. Elsewhere, Sarah struggles with Amber’s news. (Watch a sneak peek.)
