On TV this Saturday: The NFL playoffs get underway, NBC gives viewers a second chance to partake in the Titan Games and Super Troopers 2 comes to HBO. Here are eight programs to keep on your radar; all times are Eastern:
NFL Wild Card Games, Surviving R. Kelly Parts 3-6 and More
NFL AFC Wild Card Game
First up, the Houston Texans (11-5) host the Indianapolis Colts (10-6), live from NRG Stadium in Houston.
Surviving R. Kelly
Parts 3 through 6 of the docu take a look at a damning sex tape, R. Kelly’s trial on multiple counts of child pornography, the parents who accused R. Kelly of psychologically imprisoning their daughters, and the question: “Is his time up?”
NFL NFC Wild Card Game
Then, the Dallas Cowboys host the Seattle Seahawks, live from AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
Super Troopers 2
Premium cable premiere: The troop returns to police a small Canadian town that is about to be handed over to America.
The Titan Games
Series premiere encore: Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson serves as host and EP of this competition, in which men and women push their bodies to the limit in head-to-head challenges. (How did the premiere do in ratings?)
TV-movie premiere: A woman (Chesapeake Shores‘ Emilie Ullerup) falls for the best man (Heartland‘s Kevin McGarry) at her sister’s ice hotel wedding. Ice hotel?
The Alec Baldwin Show
The burn-off continues with the penultimate Q&A, featuring stand-up comedian/former sitcom star Jerry Seinfeld. Nope, this actually is not on; ABC quietly swapped in a Rookie rerun instead.
Golden Globes host/Brooklyn Nine-Nine star Andy Samberg presides over the Season 39 finale, which first aired May 17, 2014; St. Vincent performs.
