In the latest TV show ratings, there was a four-way tie for the Tuesday demo win, while CBS’ FBI easily copped the night’s biggest audience.
CBS | FBI (with 6.5 million total viewers and a 0.4 demo rating) and International flavour (5.1 mil/0.3) both dipped — with the latter marking series lows — while Most Wanted (4.9 mil/0.4) held steady. (Get CBS finale spoilers!)
FOX | 9-1-1: Lone Star (3.2 mil/0.4, read post mortem) slipped to an audience low but was steady in the demo.
ABC | The Rookie (3.4 mil/0.4) slipped to Tuesday lows, while on-the-bubble Feds (2.2 ml/0.3) lost eyeballs but held steady in the demo. Will Trent (2.5 mil/0.3) celebrated its renewal with its smallest audience yet and an eighth straight 0.3 rating.
NBC | Leading out of a Night Court rerun, American Auto (1.4 mil/0.2, TVLine reader grade “A”) hit and matched series lows with its Season 2 finale, and both The Wall (1.8 mil0.2) and Weakest Link (1.8 mil0.2) dipped.

The Live+Same Day numbers reported in our ratings column do not reflect a show’s overall performance, given the increased use of delayed playback via DVR and streaming platforms, plus out-of-home viewing. These numbers (Nielsen fast nationals, unless denoted as finals) instead aim to simply illustrate trends or superlatives. This is only an exhibition, this is not a competition. Please, no wagering.
Season 2 of American auto was way better than season 1 imo. Atleast if it’s canceled it ended pretty wrapped up
I completely agree. They really found the right tone this season.
I think Night Court was a repeat last night (unless my DVR missed it). Weird they wouldn’t put a new ep before the American Auto finale…
It was a repeat, the author of this article must have missed that.
Odd scheduling, indeed! Fixed with the speed of 1,000 gazelles.
Next the powers that be should also investigate why CBS killed True Lies by scheduling it at 10pm with reruns in front of it. Or why NBC is killing Magnum by putting it on Sundays often with a repeats leading into it. Lots of odd scheduling this season.
Just glad The Rookie and Will Trent are safe for another year
ABC should cancel Feds, move up Will Trent an hour and just place Shark Tank or some reality show at the 10/9 pm hour for the fall.
American Auto is so funny!!! It’s a shame not more people watch it! I really hope it’s renewed!
It was tax day yesterday, so all us procrastinators were filling out forms last night.
Network scheduling is a lost art. Help us, please, Fred Silverman and Brandon Tartikoff!
I really hope American Auto gets a third season. I like that the season finale had no cliffhanger and could easily sub as a series finale but still I want another season.
I’ve come to the conclusion NBC is the stupidest scheduling network there either has been!
Why not wait for next week to air AA’s finale when Night Court has a new episode for that matter any thing is NEW? It’s just common sense YOU DODO BIRDS!!!
The same about Magnum NBC pays all this money to save Mag then puts it in the most horrible place after Dateline on SUNDAY HOW STUDPID!!!!! If u have a mind you’re going to put it on Friday nights up against SWAT or Fire Country, MAGNUM’S old stomping ground, SMH!
Going back to Night Court, you guys shelved Night Court last seasoned you should have shelved it again until the new Jon Cryer and the new all star ER comedy coming in the Fall! I really hope NC returns for S2 and you guys can give it the best slot for it unlike this year!
Also, there’s La Brae here’s to hoping they are more than 6 episodes bc this show really needs a break and that break would be in between some LA Law or Chicago’s!
The point is NBC you’re not going to beat the competition if you don’t do better TIME SLOTS!
I hope American Auto gets renewed though. I find that show funnier than Night Court.
