Ratings: Once Upon a Time Musical and Last Man on Earth Finale Dip
Bubble drama Once Upon a Time‘s musical/wedding episode on Sunday night drew 2.84 million total viewers and a 0.8 demo rating, dipping 6 percent and a tenth week-to-week.
TVLine readers gave the episode as a whole an average grade of “A-,” while your favorite song was “A Happy Beginning” (followed closely by “Revenge Is Gonna Be Mine” and “Emma’s Theme”).
On Monday morning, it was announced that Jennifer Morrison will not be back as a series regular if Once gets a Season 7. So there’s that.
Leading out Once, ABC’s Princess Diana special (6.4 mil/0.9) was up sharply from Match Game and American Crime’s most recent numbers.
Over on Fox, The Last Man on Earth (1.8 mil/0.7) ticked down with its season(/series?) finale.
Elsewhere….
CBS | NCIS: LA (9 mil/1.0) and Madam Secretary (7.5 mil/0.7) were steady in the demo, while bubble drama Elementary (4.3 mil/0.6) gained a tenth.
NBC | Little Big Shots (7.8 mil/1.2) slipped 20 percent in the demo yet still led the night. Chicago Justice (5.3 mil/1.0) was steady, while Shades of Blue (4.1 mil/0.7) ticked down.
FOX | Bob’s Burgers (2 mil/0.9) rose two tenths, while The Simpsons (2.3 mil/1.0) and bubble comedy Making History (1.5 mil/0.6) were flat.

With Jennifer out and these ratings really low, time for ABC to cancel Once, now AOS should be renew for a finale season
OUAT and AOS ratings both warrant cancellation. ABC really needs a fresh slate.
ABC has sooooo many shows they need to get rid of. It’s crazy.
Yes but they can’t cancel all but TGIT in terms of dramas.WWR,AC,AOS,Quantico,TaT,Nortorious,Conviction,Secrets all rate worse than Once.

ABC, please just make this Sunday’s OUAT “season” finale, the series finale. I love my OUAT, but I’m not feeling this season 7 reboot!!! To me, if Snow and Charming aren’t there, there’s no point. Plus it’s had six seasons, that’s a good run. Thanks OUAT for the memories!
I predicted that abc was hoping the musical episode would be a ratings boost and I don’t think it dipping from last week boasts well for the shows future. And let’s hope abc isn’t stupid enough to make the mistake of continuing a show without its main character, because when has that EVER worked?
VD contiuned two seasons without Elena and OTH contiuned without Chad for 3 seasons.SVU has fi turned for several seasons without Stabler.BH 90210 contiuned for 6 seasons after 1,after Brandon.Charmed ran four more seasons after Prue died.7 th Geavdn lasted 11 seasons Evdn though by s5/6 Matt,Mary left and Dimin left in s7/8.
The episode of OUAT had a lot of flaws. just to name a few: How did the singing spell affect Zelena in Oz, but the dark curse didn’t? And how was Hook singing? Wasn’t he supposed to be in Neverland?
The show should end next week. It had a few good years in the beginning, but it’s time to say goodbye.
Too bad for OUAT but with Jennifer’s departure these numbers wont be getting any better. on the reverse side LMOE’S numbers don’t warrant a renewal but FOX probably will renew it. Nice that Elementary rose a bit. Not a surprise Diana’s special did decent( for ABC on Sunday any way) Nothing else a surprise
Ouch! Diana brought in more than double the eyeballs and a better demo after a OUAT lead-in. Even with the heavy promotion, the wedding episode couldn’t even boost this show. Without JMo it will be interesting if the season 7 reboot even happens or if we have a Castle announcement coming soon.
I’ve been a HUGE fan of OUAT~~I absolutely loved the musical episode last night. I do think though they have gotten away from what made the show a big hit~~~it’s sad really but even some of the actors aren’t putting their hearts into it**you can tell that something is just off about the show. I was hoping for Belle & Rumple reunion**you rarely see Belle. Sadly, maybe it is time to cancel.
Cancel it. If a wedding and a musical with their current cast can’t bring up the ratings, it’s all down hill without 75% of your original cast next year.
And shame on ABC for believing these characters and actors are that replaceable.
I have loved OUAT for the 6 years. Some have been better than others. The Musical rocked as did the wedding. I don’t care so much to see the final 2 hour unless it is the series closer. snow white and her prince can live happily ever after. Their daughter is married to the man of her dreams. The Black Fairy is welcome to choke and die on her fairy dust. without Snow, Charming and Emma The good Regina and her wicked sister rule the land and Hook becomes a hopeless drunk. The hinted new peeps is a male version of Emma and the little kid a cross between Annie and the artful dodger. Let it go…
