Will Trent‘s freshman finale (airing Tuesday on ABC) opens with the titular sleuth recreating Angie’s abduction, leading to a heartbreaking reveal about how Betty the Chihuahua figured into the harrowing ordeal.
When last we tuned in, Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent Will (played Ramón Rodríguez) and APD detective Angie (Erika Christensen) were delving into a series of murders/attacks aimed at those who grew up in the same orphanage as they did. At the end of that episode, Will — already reeling from what Amanda (Sonja Sohn) had just shared with him about his mother’s identity — came home to find his and Angie’s place in disarray, Betty (Bluebell) cowering in a hamper, and a photo on the floor of Angie with her eyes scratched out, as was the case with previous victims.
In the exclusive sneak peek above, Will sets out to piece together what exactly had transpired, leading to Angie’s disappearance. Press play above to see what he learns.
In the recently renewed Will Trent‘s Season 1 finale, titled “It Was the 80s,” “When an APD agent (Angie) goes missing, Will examines the crime scene and locates a secret message putting him back on the path to justice. Meanwhile, with his lineage in question, Will realizes the answers he seeks have been in front of him all along.”
Erika Christensen recently told TVLine that last week’s episode coupled with this Tuesday’s finale “are one storyline that is really personal and scary for Will and Angie,” and that as the season winds down to a close, “There are tons of ‘OMG!’ moments, but you get some resolution, too.”

Where’s the video? This has been happening a lot lately,
Right at the top of the page. If you can’t see it, your browser probably blocked it.
Will and Angie need to get married and start living happily ever after bc they’re not going to be happy with anyone else, plus they make the cutest couple. I can’t wait to see Will save his girl 💕
They are already married but separated.
I had the same issue so I temporarily paused my adblock software, and I was able to watch the video. Then after I watched it, I reinstated my adblock and refreshed the page. No more video and no more ads. All good. : )
Hi Amber, I tried that but still no dice, oh well
If you are willing, you can have a separate “open” browser for those few times you want to see something your regular browser blocks. Once you are done, you can clear the cache, history, etc.
Since I have an Android and am stuck with Chrome on my phone, I use it when I have trouble with Brave or Firefox.
Yes, all of my browsers block those videos, even the ones with the lightest security, however I try to relax the restrictions. They’re a write-off. The YouTube videos work fine, though.
This show is so good. If you are not watching, binge it on HULU
Can’t see it either but I do love Betty.❤
this show got me. I thought it was too dark but I like all the characters and cases.

I wasn’t sure about this show when I watched the pilot episode. But now I’m hooked.
Betty you go girl protecting Angie and leaving marks on the thug.
Love this show! When Will couldn’t find Betty last week I feared the worst…huge relief when she was recovered from the hamper. Best renewal notice of the entire season.
Can’t wait for the finale, but also sad that it’s already the end of the season. I’m glad Mark-Paul is back. He’s hilarious on this show, and don’t even get me started on Betty. She’s truly adorable.
This is s such a great show. Glad it’s been renewed.
It’s been obvious from the very first episode who the REAL STAR of this show is – and her name is Bluebell aka Betty!!
This was such a good drama. I love how Trent finds alternative ways to solve problems when he has a debilitating problem with reading. The supporting characters are terrific. I look forward to another season.
